At the end of March I originally created my first monthly summary on the super capital kills taking place, since then this has now expanded to a weekly event. This article will therefore begin this month as a summary of the previous month’s weekly articles before expanding on the comparison to the previous months since March.

Here is a table detailing the comparable super losses over the past 3 months.
The above table shows that even though the number of kills increased slightly from March to April it has increased dramatically since then with May being approximately twice as large in total number destroyed. In March the total ISK value of those destroyed was approximately 1.2 Trillion ISK (1221 Billion), April reached 1.3 Trillion ISK (1380 Billion) with May totalling at 2.5 Trillion ISK (2565 Billion) making it the most expensive month to date this year. [All values taken are approximations using zKillboard ISK values].
March:-
Avatar worth 119 Billion ISK lost by Jean Leaner of Nulli Secunda [S2N] who died to Pandemic Legion [10.0] after deciding to doomsday a random carrier.
Nyx worth 22 Billion ISK lost by Sgt Spoonie of Erebus Rising [ERIZN] who died to the #REKKINGCREW of Pandemic Legion [-10.0] after jumping into system without onlining his POS as planned and simply got caught.
April:-
Avatar worth 118.4 Billion ISK lost by Hammerite Voss of Ev0ke [EV0KE] who died to Pandemic Legion [10.0] after being caught in Stain.
Nyx worth 20.9 Billion ISK lost by Gar’ka Plushkina of Happy Cartel [HAPPY] who died to Against ALL Authorities [.-A-.] after being caught reinforcing structures in the region.
May:-
Erebus worth 130 Billion ISK lost by Gort Nikto from a NPC corporation who died to #REKKINGRUSKI whilst travelling through Aridia.
Nyx worth 21.3 Billion ISK lost by Quizert from ONLY FOR FUN [OFF] who died to #REKKINGRUSKI whilst travelling through Aridia.
This shows that the most expensive kill over the past 3 months was the Erebus in May which is primarily due to the Draclira’s Modified Large EMP Smartbomb worth 15 Billion ISK fit to the vessel. In comparison the Nyx that died in April had no faction, deadspace or officer fit modules as would usually be expected on such a ship resulting in a 20.9 Billion ISK loss, only 5 Billion ISK more in total than one module on the Erebus.
Not only is the ISK value interesting the one’s with the meanest tank are worth a mention.
March damage tanked:
Erebus piloted by Zerelos from Psychotic Tendencies. [TISHU] was destroyed by Northern Coalition. [NC] after taking 6,748,019 in damage compared to the Nyx piloted by Unbowed Ash from Bora Alis [BORA] who was destroyed by Hax. [HAX.] after taking a total of 703,266 damage following a self destruct.
April damage tanked:
Avatar piloted by Hammerite Voss from Ev0ke [EV0KE] was destroyed by Pandemic Legion [10.0] after taking 6,052,250 in damage compared to the Nyx piloted by Shogun Ruah from Northern Associates. [NA.] who was destroyed by Confederation of xXPIZZAXx [PIZZA] after taking a total of 14,242 damage following a self destruct.
May damage tanked:
Erebus piloted by MartCo from Goonswarm Federation [CONDI] was destroyed by Black Legion. [MEN.] after taking 7,636,871 in damage compared to the Ragnarok, piloted by MOMEHT uCTuHbI from Triumvirate. [TRI], who was destroyed by Northern Coalition. [NC] after taking a total of 227,968 damage following a self destruct after a miss click resulted in a jump instead of bridge.
The above shows that the Erebus in May was able to take the most damage whilst still being the primary to a dread drop trap by [MEN.]. Unlike the Nyx in April which suffered so little harm due to the early self destruct, which was especially useful as the [PIZZA] hostiles had minimal DPS in their fleet on grid.
From the table at the top of this article the race of ship which lost the most in each month is Gallente as there was 11 in total in March, 13 down in April and 27 destroyed in May. Even though that this shows that whilst this ship class has died the most it doesn’t necessarily mean it was used the most, they could have just been unlucky.
The hottest Region for Super capital kills in March is Domain with 4, April is both Delve and Querious equally and May is Aridia. By looking at this spreadsheet there is clearly a wide variety of regions that have had quite a few kills, particularly this month with a large range of additional nullsec kills.
With the upcoming sovereignty changes following the June Carnyx patch, described in these notes, the likelihood of maintaining sov for any length of time is dwindling causing most entities to begin moving in preparation. This has likely caused a large amount of the kills recently. Even though the majority will be down to individual pilot errors there has been a few engagements resulting in multiple losses in one fight with the lack of mobility in support fleets being of importance.
