Black Omega Security Syndicate [OMEGA], the lead corporation of The OSS [OSS] has split from the alliance and joined Circle-Of-Two [CO2]. The leader of [OMEGA] shutupandshave (aka SUAS) announced this during an alliance meeting on the 28th of this month.
At the heart of the meeting and the cited reason for the move were the cultural differences between the two main corporations within The OSS Black Omega Security Syndicate [OMEGA] and BOVRIL bOREers Mining CO-OP [BOVRL].
[OMEGA] is a 374 man corporation that can trace its history all the way back the early days of EVE Online after being founded in 2003. [OMEGA] was a member of Pandemic Legion for 5 years between 2007 and 2012 and Goonswarm Federation from 2012 befor leaving in June 2015 to join [OSS]. Priding itself as a highly active EUTZ centric PvP corporation with a long history. The [OSS] was also a key alliance in World War Bee along with their allies in [CO2]
This now leaves the largest corporation BOVRIL bOREers Mining CO-OP [BOVRL] to take over. Founded in 2013 and one of the the early corporations within the Brave Collective [BRAVE] where they remained as an industrial focused rookie group. Not long before [BRAVE]’s departure from Fountain in late 2015 [BOVRIL] left to join RAZOR Alliance [-RZR-] and the Imperium. There were however rumours of tension within the alliance with clashes in culture and the relationship didn’t last. [BOVRIL] began looking to move into another Imperium Alliance The Bastion [BASTN] shortly after the Drone Walker invasion of Tenal. But this new alliance was short lived after [BOVRIL] promptly dropped from [BASTN] and the Imperium as a whole after only being a member for 3 days.
It was at this point [BOVRIL] joined [OSS] bringing their ~800 members and rookie centric ways with them.
However it was a relationship that seems not to have lasted. Cultures appeared to have not meshed and [OMEGA] has, as of two days ago, left the alliance that carries their name [OSS] to become part of [CO2].
