Hello its Tiberius StarGazer here for week 36 of the HERO News Round-Up, talking about the going ons in Catch and the HERO Coalition.
What follows in a transcript of the video dialog and links to the videos within.
My first video today is from fleet commander (FC) Travis Holden who recorded this fun video during the on going skirmishes for S25C-K in the northern part of Catch, a contested system between the HERO Coalition and Providence Bloc. After engaging a Providence fleet in S25C-K they withdrew to a safe player owned starbase (POS) in system to hide from the HERO fleet. But after a Providence spy supplied Travis with the POS password he warped the entire fleet (with accompanying phoenix) into the POS shields and hilarity ensued.
In my last video there was a comment asking “so, who is your enemy in this game?” To answer that question Markonius Porkbutte posted an article on The Daily Welp which details some more of the history and of the relationship between Providence Bloc and HERO including more of the motivations behind the Catch/Providence war.
In Eve Politics, Matias Otero, after many weeks of little to no activity resigns from the CSM. Citing personal responsibilities outside of Eve hampering his ability to meet the ongoing commitments that the CSM required. Matias released a heartfelt address on Reddit apologizing for letting down all those who voted for him and regret that we was not able to meet the promises he had made during his CSM campaign. After the events of last week where Imperial Guardians were kicked from Spaceship Samurai aka HONOR a surprise move resulted in Black Pearl Alliance taking in the HONOR refugees into their space in southern Catch. Black Pearl Alliance or BPA, while not an official part of the HERO Coalition has always enjoyed cool relations, however this move has put them in a difficult position resulting in a number of HERO Coalition member alliances resetting BPA, indeed some of them have been calling for active hostilities against the group. BRAVE maintains its blue status with BPA, but with the majority of the HERO Coalition baying for blood it remains to be seen for how long. Click the links in this article above for more information.
The continuing war between Providence and HERO reached new heights as the forces clashed in their biggest fight to date with over 60 billion ISK in ships destroyed. In the end Providence won out as HERO and Pandemic Legion suffered severe losses. You can find out more by watching my Day 32 video below and on TMC. Is this the line that Providence is drawing? We will soon find out.
In a unexpected fight, a Northern Coalition (NC.) Macherial was tackled in the BRAVE mining system in BUZ-DB. The fight quickly escalated with NC. carriers quickly being dropped into system. According to a source from NC. they jumped into system expecting a quick job to save the Macharial from D00M., but they were not expecting Drop Bears to counter drop with their Dreadnoughts. While the Macharial got away NC. exchanged 7 Archons for it. Below are two spectacular videos from the fight.
While these big events often dominate my reports, its usually difficult to get a perspective from a line members typical day.
A recent video posted by One F Jef shows what it is like to spend a day in the GE-Defence fleet. Watch the video below to follow where a group of newbros and more experienced members hunt and track targets over the Catch and Providence region.

International Talk Like a Pirate Day is coming on September the 19th and BRAVE is celebrating by holding BRAVE Piracy Day. All entrance systems to Catch will be declared Not Purple Shoot It (NPSI) for 24 hours staring at 00:00 hours Eve time on the 19th. This means all ships, including blues, will be free game. Additionally HED-GP will also be declared a Free-Port to all and any who wish to get involved in the festivities!
