Earlier this week former Brave Collective Military Director Motre announced his departure from the alliance by sending an internal alliance mail. Since then Markonius Porkbutte, who was one of the heads & founders of the Brave Intelligence Agency, has also announced his departure but on an even more public stage. Reddit.
Since Motre stole my thunder in announcing that he was leaving BRAVE, I regret to inform everyone that I too, will be leaving, though not to go with Motre.

It seems Goonswarm has thought it wise to change a near decades-long recruiting practice and push aside their bittervetism to prove that they really do care about new players and are not looking to solely use them for recruitment scams (at least that’s what they say). To signify that change, they have invited me to come run a newbie friendly corporation as a part of the alliance. Their one condition is that I contract everything I own over to a guy named “NotaTheif101,” and head out to YA0 once I’ve paid the 10 billion isk entrance fee.
Because reddit is all I know, I’ve decided to call this organization, “KarmaFleet,” in hopes that one day we can turn all your downvotes into upvotes. You can come visit us at /r/karmafleet and downvote our threads there and on /r/eve at your leisure.
I love BRAVE and everything it stands for. I’ve dedicated hundreds of hours working on propaganda and other projects like the spy agency. In a show of good faith, I’m walking out empty handed, though I may be taking a few spies with me, like my main man Merkelchen. For everything else, I will be coordinating with leadership to make sure intel doesn’t fall through the cracks and so that someone else knows where all the bodies are buried. I’ve met some incredible people here. Some of you I will miss dearly and I hope we can fly together again someday. I’m very proud of everything we’ve achieved together, but I think it’s time for some change.
As many of you push for more warfare and urge your fleet commanders to grind more timers for worthless territory in Northern Catch (so your masters in Pandemic Legion and NCdot will have some entertainment once they get done face rolling Solar and Black Legion) I will be thinking about your SRP fund as my new corporation welps ship after ship in an utterly pointless 100% reimbursable, carefree manner. With the backing of the Goonswarm Federation we strive to do what BNI has done: create a path for newbies to get to nullsec. As an added benefit, newbies will know who their enemies are and will become connoisseurs of donuts with blue icing. They will also have access to almost a decade’s worth of Goonswarm newbee training material like this one:.
There will be bourbon, exotic dancers (both female and male) as well as janitors, synth boosters, and icecream for all newbees. I will also be handing out goggles so we can improve the #gogglelite. Personally, I will probably upgrade to a monocle.

Does this mean that there is yet more discontent to come or have the “bad eggs” already left?
One thing is for sure. I don’t think Goonswarm Federation will have any problem taking on all who follow this new direction in joining their new Reddit based corporation, KarmaFleet.
