Tragedy strikes in the North…again

January 17, 2014

It appears that the northern CFC forces decided to make a stand over a moon. Sadly, they failed to save the tower and many ships (a lot of them battleships) died. Just yesterday I brought you the BR here of some dead capitals. While no caps died this time, CFC forces did lose a Typhoon fleet to a bombing run. The BR from Mordus Angels and Triumvirate show a better picture then EVE kill at the moment–and here is the BR Doc.

Tri-Angels (Triangles?)  was going after another moon of CFC’s in Pure Blind. The story we received is that after shooting the tower for a while, C02 finally bridged their battleship fleet onto the Triangle fleet. The fleet got caught in bubbles, and was bombed. While it was no epic fight (in the sense of blows being exchanged in a brawl), I always enjoy seeing successful bombing runs, no matter who they are against.

Not to be deterred, though, the mighty Goonswarm/Gents domi fleet arrived on scene and Triangle was not able to put their own pos up–they were forced to leave the field. CFC then put up another POS. However, the Triangle fleet came back and reinforced the new pos with the timer coming out tomorrow. Another fight will surely ensue.

With increased pressure on the CFC in the north is it enough for them to send more numbers home? At this point I don’t think so. While it is certainly enjoyable to see successful bombing runs, and capital kills–nothing really has changed except for a few dead poses in NPC space.

If SOV starts to fall then I would expect more of a response from CFC–but right now they are tied up in the south and they really have no reason to go “save” their members who are holding the north. I have not seen anything noticeable out of EMP recently–though a bomber fleet died to an Gents interceptor fleet.

Can the northern alliances work together to provide even more pressure on CFC? Only time will tell, and I look forward to seeing how it all plays out.
