Eastern Conflict Observatory #2

April 16, 2018

This article is your weekly briefing on the conflict in the east between Unspoken Alliance./WE FORM V0LTA/Skill Urself and the Drone Regions Federation.

DCU Disbanding; Holy League Claims Victory

In a coalition-wide meeting at about 9 o’clock on the 15th of April, the Drone Control Unit officially disbanded. The meeting comes after multiple high profile evacuations and defections from the DCU, most notably RAZOR Alliance. Fafer praised line members but noted that the long war had sapped morale and wallets. Further, he blamed diplomatic miscalculations on the part of Legion of xXDEATHXx <X.I.X>, particularly in reneging on a deal with Skill Urself.

The Holy League, comprising Skill Urself, V0LTA, and Unspoken Alliance among others has now claimed victory. They now control much of the Southern drone regions. However, they have neither the numbers nor the intent to occupy it directly. The situation remains in flux.

Etherium Reach Contested by Timezone Tanking

Etherium Reach is one part of the DRF’s domain which has not entirely fallen to the Holy League. This remaining pocket of resistance is because Prothean Alliance has successfully timezone-tanked. The Holy League, being a primarily EU and US TZ group, cannot engage them. However, they remain confident that Prothean Alliance will fall in the coming weeks due to low morale.

DRF Territory Shrinking Rapidly

With the DCU disbanded, the DRF’s empire has shrunk dramatically. It was once a 14-region colossus. Now, it is four regions under the control of X.I.X. This may severely weaken its political and military influence. Moreover, without incredible income provided by renting out so many regions, the capacity of X.I.X to hire mercenaries will have reduced.

Badfellas Inc Slopes; Joins B0T

Lastly, we have word from Badfellas Inc.. Badfellas directly transferred its allegiance from the DCU to Brothers of Tangra, an independent renting alliance with Panfam backing. However, this has caused a dramatic slope with membership falling from 3000 to 671 in a matter of days. This is a pattern evident in other former-DCU alliances. This indicates that the DCU coalition is not the only institution collapsing.
