Hey guys, its been ages since the last time I did a proper battle live blog. The 9-4RP2 Keepstar battle in Cloud Ring promise to be cemented in EVE history as one of the most massive EVE Online events ever made. In case you are wondering what’s all this about, yesterday our very own Hugh Casswak wrote a background account of the events leading to this moment, I would recommend you to read it while we wait for the timer.
We’ll try something different, we’ll live blog using @evenews24’s twitter account. We’ll share the post here in a sequential manner and utilizing the EVE time as the reference frame. Last night we had run a poll regarding the outcome of this battle, so far our followers have shown low (or maybe realistic) expectations for this battle:
With both sides calling for maximum numbers. What are your predictions about the 9-4RP2 (Cloud Ring) Keepstar final timer battle. #tweetfleet #EVEOnline

System is at nearly 6000 but we have nearly 2000 more to bring into system between us and goons. I don't think this node can take that escalation. #tweetfleet

Imperium had jumped in 250 Nyx into system earlier. Now hearing NC. is jumping in titans. #94RP2Keepstar #tweetfleet

An online game battle could destroy real cash, as players in @EveOnline get ready for war. Some of them spent big bucks to build up their fleets of ships, and if they lose them in tonight's battle, it'll be game over for all that cash. We talk to fleet commander Taylor Crockett. pic.twitter.com/TJSyfdXHnR
