Last week CCP Games announced the inclusion of a new feature which will surely help to grow the egos of capsuleers all around the world. The feature is, of course, a total net worth counter.

As CCP Turtlepower explains, the total net worth counters sum up everything in your character assets, market orders and contracts utilizing market reference prices pretty much, in the same way, kill mails do.

So if gloating about kill/death ratio isn’t enough, how about throwing an image link in local to show those schmucks how indigent they are?

The taunting possibilities are limitless.

Team Genesis is developing a nifty little feature to show your total net worth in the character sheet. This feature is now live on Singularity, and we would love to hear your thoughts on it! Here is a screenshot:

The counter breaks your character’s net worth down to 4 parts: wallet balance, asset net worth (estimated), contract escrow, and market escrow. Please note that the asset net worth counter will probably be a bit weird on singularity due to the market data on that server not accurately reflecting the value of items on the Tranquility server.

Asset net worth also counts any items that are in contracts or market sell orders. Escrow counters only count ISK.

Join the Mass Test

In about 20 minutes (17:00 EVE Time) CCP Games will hold a mass test for this and other features, we advise you that if you can, take the chance.

We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, March 7th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time)!

What exactly is being tested?

Total Net Worth (mostly testing the server performance impact of the feature)
General client and server performance

How to connect to Singularity for this test:
Change the server from Tranquility to Singularity in the upper left corner of the new launcher and log in as normal. More detailed instructions are available here.

Test steps:
1. Meet in FD-MLJ at the gate to X-BV98
2. Close the character sheet if it is open
3. Jump to X-BV98.
4. Open the character sheet and click the question mark in the top right, where it says “Total Net Worth”
5. Close and re-open the character sheet and click the question mark in the top right where it says “Total Net Worth”
6. Close the character sheet
7. Warp to a Keepstar
8. Re-open the character sheet and click the question mark in the top right where it says “Total Net Worth”
9. Shoot + kill the Keepstar
10. Fleet W: Jump to Poitot + setup gate camp.
11. Fleet X: Jump to Poitot + fight at the gate

What else should I know?

Use the command /moveme to be moved to the start system FD-MLJ
2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test
Bring anything you like to the test (preferably something with weapons!)

And thus, the search for the wealthiest player in New Eden begins.
