The passing weeks have supplied more than enough videos from around New Eden. From ambient videos, fake trailers and some hilarious or tense PvP moments, these are EVE News 24’s picks for the past few weeks:
#1 Eve Online: Black Ops Summer Vacation by Raethrius
Black ops battleships pilots are often one of the most hated or loved pilots in New Eden. You either hate them for attacking unarmed ships and being “Risk averse” or love them for hunting behind enemy lines, often alone and without support. Regardless, it is another interesting facet of the game, with the following video detailing and showing the work of one pilot and his trio of ships.
#2 Summer Compilation – Solo PvP by Stitch K
We all take breaks from EVE Online, and sometimes when we come back, and we all do, we find out we’ve become a tad rusty. The only solution is to practice, and this video shows a Solo PvP pilot doing just that, using his old tried and tested ships to get back into shape. The result is quite a few interesting fights and a nice video to boot.
#3 Eve Online – Explorers by espehil85
A beautiful video show casing and detailing some of the activities available to New Eden’s least talked about group: The explorers. The video itself shows some of the marvelous sights and scenery in New Eden, which only those who brave the depths of its unknown regions can enjoy.
#4 Ganked 239: Spectre Fleet VS Waffles/Project.Mayham/Snuff Ft. Mercenary Coalition by Spectre Fleet Gaming Community
A highlight video from Spectre Fleet’s battle in Harroule versus several other fleets including WAFFLES. [N0MAD], Snuffed Out [B B C]\Project.Mayhem. [16-13], Mercenary Coalition [MC] and more. Unlike the video linked in the Battle Report Round Up #20, this one is more cinematic in nature, thus earning it a spot on this list.
#5 EvE Online – Heading South by Yrrîps EK
The Imperium may have been defeated in World War Bee and Goonswarm Federation [CONDI] reduced in size, but to its credit the alliance refused to give up, moving to the Delve region and ousting its then current residents. In this incredible cinematic video, Goonswarm Federation fleets are recorded moving en mass south, and making quite a splendid sight in the process.
#6 Voxis Accord [VOXIS] Sucessfully Defends Against Sarcos Federation [FEDS] Attack by Ethan Zoromir
A tale of a friendship betrayed, of a war fought, and a final battle that ended it all. Recorded in full cinematic view with subtitles to explain everything, this video shows how beautiful, yet cruel, New Eden can be.
#7 Fleet Commentary 008 – AT Doppler Attack by lord-carlos
With the XIV Alliance Tournament just around the corner, there is no better time to learn about the different tactics and strategies employed in New Eden’s grandest stage. In this video, a detailed explanation is given of the Doppler Attack, its application to the alliance tournament setting and even a demonstration of its prowess. A must see to anyone who wants to learn more about the upcoming tournament!
#8 Eve Online. Insane Nyx Jf Frags (Tiky Mikk) by Dmitriy Insane
Lonetrek, one of the backwater regions of empire controlled space whose systems are no stranger to war, has seen a new kind of predator emerge. This deadly foe preys on the most vulnerable and important ships, the jump freighters. With every strike, billions of ISK are destroyed, and billions more are looted from the victims’ wrecks. This carnivore was nice enough to record its exploits, and you can all see for yourself just what kind of monster prowls the space lanes of that forsaken region.
#9 Chaos super blopsing by Ice Cream
Even the greatest of predators may succumb to those smaller than him. If in the previous video we saw a super carrier terrorize a region, than in this we see what happens when the hunter becomes the hunted. Filming their latest kill, Escalating Entropy [CHAOS] pilots managed to snag an Aeon super carrier and give it a proper burial, one involving a lot of black ops battleships and a brave dreadnought.
