Welcome to an article where we will be looking at the ‘small things’ that might not make a full EN24 article but are either funny or interesting enough to share anyway!
Snuffed Out Alliance loses more corps. New alliance set up by those who left.
Those who left Snuffed Out <B B C> after their awox of the Shadow Cartel [SHDWC] super capitals back in April have set up their own alliance under the name of Escalating Entropy [CHAOS]. After reporting on the loss of the main AUTZ corps here, Snuffed Out alliance also lost another 3 of their corporations in Heretic Army, Doughboys and Ice Fire Warriors and a total of 250 pilots. All of these corporations are now members of the new alliance.
One of the first major engagements for the new alliance, Escalating Entropy was the destruction of a FETID Dreadnought fleet, ironically alongside members of Shadow Cartel [SHDWC]. They managed to destroy 22 billion ISK in dreadnoughts while losing just 1.6 billion in return.
However Snuffed Out showed that the loss of over 350 members would not slow them down as they went on to attack and destroy a Dead Terrorist Wyvern in The Citadel yesterday.
Snuffed Out seems happy to foster a relationship with Project.Mayhem. <16-13> and Rapid Withdrawal [RDRAW] while Escalating Entropy might be considering strengthening their allegiance to Shadow Cartel. A number of the corps who left Snuffed Out over the incident were also ex-Shadow Cartel corporations.
OSS, TISHU and The Culture Successfully defend in Syndicate Brawl over OSS Citadel.
On the 8th May The OSS, [TISHU] and The-Culture came together to defend an OSS Citadel in the system of 9U-TTJ. The start of the fight saw the OSS and Psychotic Tendencies. [TISHU] defending against a fleet of Ishtars, which they managed to hold off. The attackers then reshipped to Rattlesnakes which were doing a lot more damage to the defenders. Once it became apparent that they could not hold without further reinforcements, The-Culture came in with their Proteus fleet once the Rattlesnakes had been tackled effectively by [TISHU] and OSS.
Razor Alliance and The Initiative. who attacked the Citadel lost over 20 billion ISK while the defenders took around half that number.
The OSS and Tishu defended the citadel with their Machs. Early part of the fight went well for the defenders with lots of Alphad Ishtars. Init/Rzr then go back and reship into Rattlesnakes and start doing some serious damage to the defending forces. The-Culture come in with a Proteus fleet once tackle was established and managed to turn the tides and chase down Init/Rzr with the help of OSS/Tishu tackle.
Circle-of-Two defend Citadel in a C2 Wormhole from Adhocracy and Hole Control attack.
Circle-of-Two [CO2] rushed to the defence of a Citadel based in the class 2 wormhole of J100447. The Citadel was being attacked by members of Adhocracy and Hole Control with a small wing of Rattlesnakes and then a bit of a mix mash of other ships including T2 Cruisers and Battlecruisers. As the Citadel started dipping to around 10% HP the CO2 gang warped in to start the defence in a mixed T3 armour fleet with Guardian support.
A member of the attacking side said on Reddit;
One reason they did so well (apart from having over 20 more pilots) was our fleet was originally 2 separate fleets of different corps that was rushed together into a single fleet with 2 separate coms, so it was very rushed and disorganized as far as target calling was concerned.
The fight ended with the attackers sustaining heavy casualties of 15 billion ISK while the defending CO2 forces lost just 800 million ISK and managed to save the Citadel. The battle report can be found here.
Pandemic Legion titan down to LowSechnaya Sholupen in Aridia.
Von Zarovick of Habitual Euthanasia made a mistake as he resubbed to the game. He tried to get his Avatar Titan through the super capital graveyard of Aridia. Having just come back to the game he may have been unaware of the Arida region being almost always watched by members of Lowsechnaya Sholupen -LSH-, who like nothing better than a unprotected super coming through their area. Any travelling super needs to go through one of three Aridia systems. It’s not hard to cover in the hope something lights a cyno you can warp to.
Having been warned by RoCkEt X to wait for him to help him move the Titan, he ignored the offer and decided to go it alone. Of course the inevitable happened and -LSH- have another capital scalp on their belt.
This loss marks the first Titan loss for Pandemic Legion since July 2015 and this is a very old Titan as it has large rigs instead of capital rigs. Some sources have claimed that this ship was the 12th Titan ever built in the game and only the 3rd or 4th Avatar. The claims say that This titan may have been as much as 10 years old. Rest In Piece a piece of EvE History, it is a shame it ended like this.
