Tzvi system, Devoid region. On the 17th of December at 22:20 EVE Standard Time, forces belonging to Dead Terrorists [IKILU] and FETID [FETID] clashed with Did he say Jump [JMP-N] in the system in a battle that saw the loss of an Aeon supercarrier.
The battle was sparked over a Dead Terrorists tower in the system which was reinforced by Did he say Jump forces previously as part of their recent campaign against the alliance. With the timer set to expire on that night, both sides formed up maximum numbers while notifying allies.
Dead Terrorists and FETID formed a joint armor battleship fleet, estimated at 60 pilots. The force made its way to the Tzvi system through the Lamaa system. At the same time, Did he say Jump had its own fleet, a 60 pilot Apocalypse Navy Issue battleship fleet with triage carrier support, enter the same system. Both forces ended up jumping into the Tzvi system with only a short interval between them, leading to the two fleets anchoring up and engaging on the Lamaa gate itself, starting the battle.
The fight was brutal from its onset. The opposing sides quickly went for each others’ logistics wings, with the Did he say Jump triage carrier quickly tackled, the auto-cannons of the Machariel battleships starting to pound its armor while Bhaalgorn battleships drained its capacitor with their heavy energy neutralizers. However, Did he say Jump’s battleships weren’t idle either and targeted the Guardian logistics cruisers of the joint fleet as they scrambled to get in position, managing to burn a few with their pulse laser batteries.
As the battle heated up, Did he say Jump lit a cynosural beacon on the field and ushered in a dreadnought squadron. The dreadnoughts quickly entered their siege cycle, their guns having little difficulty to track the battleships. At the same time, the triage carrier for the Did he say Jump fleet was destroyed, unable to cope with the pressure exerted on it by the hostile fleet. Yet as the dreadnoughts opened fire, the opposing battleships were easily overwhelmed by the capital ordinance and the Apocalypse Navy Issue battleships, their logistics wing unable to cope with the damage output.
As the hostile fleet took range, Did he say Jump’s dreadnoughts exited their siege cycle and aligned towards the moon where the Dead Terrorists tower was located. Unable to break the tank of the dreadnoughts with its remaining numbers and still frantically repairing the tower which had just exited reinforced mode as the two sides were clashing, the joint fleet’s commanders decided to commit an Aeon supercarrier into the fight in a bid to get rid of the dreadnoughts. A cynosural beacon was lit at a distance of the fight and into the system entered the Aeon flanked by two Archon carriers, and most surprising of all, a Ragnarok titan.
As the titan landed on grid it quickly fired its doomsday device, destroying a Naglfar dreadnought. Both the joint fleet and the Did he say Jump force were taken by surprise, as the Dead Terrorists fleet commander had no knowledge of the titan coming along. Yet, Did he say Jump forces quickly overcame their initial surprise and warped their force on top the cynosural beacon, heavy interdictors tackling the Ragnarok and Aeon.
The joint fleet was forced to warp to the cynosural beacon as well and attempt to destroy the heavy interdictors present, the Aeon helping by applying heavy neutralizers. However, being focused on rescuing the tackled super capitals allowed the Did he say Jump dreadnought force to slip unnoticed and dispatch the Dead Terrorists tower as well as a Chimera carrier which was attempting to repair it.
Northern Coalition. [NC] had up to this point maintained position at a wormhole entrance to the Tvzi system with a 60 pilot Sleipnir command ship fleet. With Did he say Jump’s fleet seemingly winning the engagement, Northern Coalition. reinforcements were deemed unnecessary and the force was ready to leave when news of the tackled super capitals broke. Without hesitation, the force entered the system and warped to the cynosural beacon, quickly adding their firepower to the mix.
With the dreadnoughts returning to the field together with the Did he say Jump fleet and the Northern Coalition. reinforcements, the joint battleship fleet could do little. In rapid succession mainline and support ships were obliterated as the fleet was hammered on all sides. Regardless, the fleet did not retreat, focusing all of its dwindling firepower on the heavy interdictors present on field in order to free the tackled super capitals. One after another the hostile heavy interdictors were annihilated, drained of energy or forced to drop their infinite points lest they’d be obliterated by the diminishing damage output of the joint fleet.
The Ragnarok was the first to be freed, warping out and bouncing between celestial bodies with the Aeon soon following suit. However this freedom came at a great cost. The joint fleet was utterly devastated, most of its logistics backbone was destroyed and its mainline ships were in tatters. The remnants of the fleet were forced to withdraw or face total annihilation.
This left the Ragnarok and Aeon trapped in the system with the hostile fleets busily scanning them down and attempting to probe their location. Thankfully for the Ragnarok it was fitted for travel and managed to cloak in the system once its doomsday device cooled off, allowing it to later regenerate the necessary energy needed to jump out of the system.
The Aeon was not so fortunate. Fitted mainly for tanking, it was slow to align and warp off. As it attempted to bounce between safe spots in the system, Northern Coalition. scouts managed to probe it down and warp their fleet on top of it. With both the Did he say Jump and Northern Coalition. fleets hammering at its hull, the colossal beast could do little to tank the incoming damage, finally caving in as the damage reached critical levels, causing its body to be rocked by multiple explosions as it gasped its last.
Having won both the field and the objective, the Did he say Jump fleet extracted from the system, suffering continued harassment from a Pandemic Legion [-10.0] 30 pilot Tengu strategic cruiser fleet which arrived to late to render aid to the Dead Terrorists’ side.
However, with no more hostiles left to fight, all remaining combatants withdrew from the system as well, bringing an end to hostilities.
