HBD-CC system, Venal region. On the 11th of November at 18:00 EVE Standard Time, Imperium forces battled Out of Sight. [OOS] over a tower in the system.
The Imperium continues its assault on the Venal alliance Out of Sight., attempting to remove it from the region while combating its infrastructure. The fight in HBD-CC was no different, with a tower over a lucrative moon reinforced by Imperium forces. As the tower was slated to exit its reinforcement mode, both sides geared up to fight over it.
Out of Sight. had a 50 pilot Typhoon battleship fleet with 4 triage Archon carrier support and a Bora Alis [BORA] stealth bomber wing helping as well. The Imperium brought more than 250 pilots divided into 3 fleets: A Dominix Battleship fleet, a Cerberus heavy assault cruiser fleet and a Hurricane battlecruiser fleet.
The two forces clashed on the tower grid after Out of Sight. bridged to a neighboring system before jumping in and warping to their tower, with the Imperium’s Cerberus fleet appearing on grid a few moments later. Out of Sight. tried to engage the Cerberus fleet but it declined and kept pinging off as it waited for reinforcements.
Things changed when the Dominix and Hurricane fleets entered the system and warped to the tower grid, engaging the Out of Sight. fleet and starting the battle proper. At this point the battle was a long range exchange as sentry drones, cruise missile batteries and artillery cannons bombarded each other. Out of Sight. dropped its triage carriers near the tower’s shields and maintained position in range of their remote repairers while showering its enemies with swarms of cruise missiles and sentry drones as Bora Alis added its bombing runs to the mix, much to the chagrin of Imperium fleet commanders.
However as the battle went on, things took a turn for the worse for Out of Sight. as the three Imperium fleets improved their coordination, managing to volley battleships through the triage repair cycles. What more, Out of Sight. fleet commanders noticed Imperium supercarrier pilots logging in, signaling the Imperium was about to commit super capital assets. Thus, losing ships at a growing rate, the Typhoon fleet retreated into the tower’s shields while its triage carriers exited their cycles and started burning to their safety as well.
Just as their intelligence revealed, a cynosural beacon was lit on the field and into the grid jumped several Imperium supercarriers. They targeted one of the triage carriers that didn’t manage to make it into the shields in time due to accidentally activating its triage cycle again. Unable to do anything to aid it, Out of Sight. pilots were forced to watch as the swarm of fighter bombers rip it apart.
With the tower vulnerable, Out of Sight. forces had to retreat, jumping their remaining carriers out and escaping from the system, allowing Imperium forces to take down the tower and claim victory both of the field and the objective.
However as the different Imperium fleets were traveling back to their respective staging systems, Out of Sight. had yet to say the final word. re-shipping in their staging system and gathering a 30 pilot Augoror Navy Issue cruiser fleet, the Out of Sight. fleet quickly gathered on a titan and waited. Managing to tackle the remnants of the Dominix fleet as it was heading home in the P-FSQE system, the Augoror Navy Issue cruisers bridged on top of the helpless battleships and obliterated them.
Once done, Out of Sight. forces retreated once more, bringing an end to hostilities.
