#EVE_NT Collides Round 1 – Hard Knocks vs Shadow Cartel Preview

#EVE_NT Collides opening weekend is upon us with the first match Sunday 11th of October at 19:00 UTC which can be watched via one of the following methods:

This month’s opening match will be between Hard Knocks and Shadow Cartel. Let’s take an opportunity to summarize each team’s stats and matches from this year’s alliance tournament.

#EVE_NT Collides Profile: Hard Knocks are a wormhole based alliance who live in high-class wormholes and embrace all aspects of PVP, whether it’s dropping caps on hostile PVE caps, or roaming out through null-sec connections with fast skirmish ships, to brawling up close and dirty with other wormhole entities during evictions and chance wormhole connections.

Not having much tournament experience themselves, for ATXIII they recruited some tournament veterans and mixed them with their best PVPers which catapulted them into the top 8, with many convincing victories along the way. They were only beaten at the end by the eventual 4th place team, Exodus, in a really close mirror-match-up brawl.

#EVE_NT Collides Profile: Shadow Cartel are a force to be reckoned with. Not only are they a low-sec powerhouse – fighting large scale low-sec battles on an almost daily basis and more often than not coming out on top, they are also veterans of the Alliance Tournament. In both ATXII and ATXIII they placed top 8 establishing themselves as a top-tier team that will make any opponent take them seriously, being knocked down on a couple of occasions in knife-edge matches against tournament giants such as PL.

In a similar format to the Worlds Collide tournament at this years fanfest, each team has to pre-make seven different fleet compositions with which to bring to the matches. Once those set ups have been declared each team can ban two ships. At this time the compositions and bans are as follows:
