OOO-FS system, Stain region. On the 1st of October at 21:30 EVE Standard Time, a C0VEN [C0VEN] Capital force was ambushed and destroyed by forces belonging to Pandemic Legion [-10.0] and United Warriors [UWAR].
United Warriors is a corporation specializing in small scale PvP, usually by using wormhole connections to raid the many regions of New Eden. The corporation is based out of the Stain region. Though most of Stain’s lucrative moons are owned by Stain-Wagon Coalition (SWC), of which C0VEN is a member, United Warriors decided to attempt and take a few moons for themselves, knowing they are striking way above their weight.
And yet, after securing a couple of moons from lesser SWC entities without reprisal, United Warriors got bolder and took an R64 moon from C0VEN in the OOO-FS system. This went unnoticed for a few weeks before C0VEN forces smarted up and attempted to retrieve their tower, using a large Capital fleet to reinforce the United Warriors tower. The fleet included 9 Dreadnoughts, 5 Carriers and an Aeon Supercarrier as well as having 20 more Carriers on standby.

Against such a huge force United Warriors could not contend, but they could call for allies. The corporation had friends in Pandemic Legion. Seeing such a large Capital force used freely, including the Aeon Supercarrier, Pandemic Legion and United Warriors planned a trap. Secretly, Pandemic Legion moved Super Capital assets in range of the OOO-FS system in preparation for the fight and mustered a Proteus Strategic Cruiser fleet estimated at 90 pilots as support.
United Warriors prepared a bait in the form of a Chimera class Carrier and a mixed Sleipnir Command Ship\Hurricane Fleet Issue Battlecruiser gang with reinforcements from Happy Cartel [HAPPY] helping bring up the numbers to around 20 pilots. The force quickly set up on the L-A9FS gate in the system, the likely point of entry for C0VEN forces. They managed to intercept a C0VEN force of approximately 35 pilots mainly in Cerberus Heavy Assault Cruisers as well as other assorted shield ships.
Since C0VEN seemed shy about bringing their own Capitals in, United Warriors started annihilating the support fleet, hoping to force C0VEN to bring more Capitals. At the same time, United Warriors made sure to anchor cynosural inhibitors and kept Interdictors deploying bubbles in and around the gates to give the illusion that they were fearful and wished to prevent a Capital escalation.
With C0VEN support getting beaten and the United Warriors fleet losing very little in comparison, thanks in part to their Triage Carrier, C0VEN finally escalated and brought more Carriers and Dreadnoughts to the system, not totaling 3 Dreadnoughts and 4 Carriers. The reinforcements quickly dispatched the United Warriors Triage Carrier, forcing their fleet to hastily retreat before aligning, warping to the tower itself with the remaining support.
Realizing C0VEN would not bring more forces while the tower remained vulnerable, United Warriors quickly bubbled the C0VEN Capitals using cloaked Interdictors it had ready and waiting on grid and lit a cynosural beacon at a perch above the tower itself. This was the signal for Pandemic Legion’s forces to jump into the system. First came Interdictors who helped United Warriors keep the Capitals tackled, folowed by Strategic Cruisers which quickly dispatched the remnants of C0VEN’s support fleet.

Once the field was secured, a small Super Capital force of Titans and Supercarriers jumped into the system and started clearing the field of C0VEN Capitals. One by one C0VEN Dreadnoughts and Carriers melted, ravaged by the support fleet and the Doomsday weapons of the Titans.
With the field cleared and tower saved, Pandemic Legion left the system, safely extracting to its staging.

All told the battle 45 minutes from start to finish, with local remaining under 200 pilots and no Time Dilation reported.
C0VEN lost 3 Dreadnoughts and 3 Carriers as well as 4 Battleships and 5 Heavy Assault Cruisers for a total of 18.7 Bil ISK damage. United Warriors and their allies lost 1 Carrier and support ships for a total of 1.61 Bil ISK damage.
