GXK-7F system, Immensea region. On the 28th of September at 19:00 EVE Standard Time, Stain-Wagon Coalition and Gentlemen’s.Club [GCLUB] engaged each other in what became a large brawl between the two in the system.
A Soviet-Union [CY-27] tower was exiting reinforced mode in the system, and the two sides were gearing up to fight over it, Stain-Wagon Coalition mustering 190 pilots in a mixed Loki Strategic Cruiser\Cerberus Heavy Assault Cruiser fleet to save the tower.
Against them, Gentlemen’s.Club and its allies brought an estimated 180 pilot Tengu Strategic Cruiser\Cerberus Heavy Assault Cruiser fleet, with Northern Coalition. [NC] bringing further reinforcements later on in the form of a 60 pilot Ishtar Heavy Assault Cruiser fleet.
Gentlemen’s.Club forces arrived to the system before Stain-Wagon Coalition and quickly dispatched of the tower. However, Stain-Wagon did not stand down after learning of the destruction of their tower, and instead chose to engage the Gentlemen’s.Club fleet head on. The Gentlemen’s.Club’s fleet was already situated at range of the DY-O7Q gate when Stain-Wagon forces jumped in, starting the fight.
Stain-Wagon forces quickly anchored up and opened fire on Gentlemen’s.Club’s forces who retaliated in kind. Quickly the two opponents maneuvered around each other, exchanging fire while attempting to get warp ins on each other’s Logistics wing. This cat and mouse game continued as both sides hemorrhaged ships.
Finally, after nearly a half hour of engagement, and with Northern Coalition. forces coming in, Stain-Wagon forces retreated to the DY-P7Q system next door. There they set up on the GXK-7F gate and waited for their enemies to jump in. A brief firefight ensued as both forces anchored up and fought, but with Stain-Wagon losing mainline ships and slowly being outnumbered, it was time to retreat, rather than risk a total loss of the fleet.
Thus, Stain-Wagon forces quickly disengaged, conceding the field to Gentlemen’s.Club and their allies, who in turn finished clearing the tower modules before returning home as well.
The Battle from Stain-Wagon’s PoV

The battle lasted nearly 40 minutes with both systems hosting around 400 players. Time Dilation was noticeable and varied, subsiding and spiking at times to upwards of 40%.
Gentlemen’s.Club and its allies lost 13 Strategic Cruisers and 15 Heavy Assault Cruisers, along with other losses reaching 17.5 Bil ISK in damages. Stain-Wagon Coalition lost 18 Strategic Cruisers and 6 Heavy Assault Cruisers, along with other losses reaching 16.6 Bil ISK in damages.
As Gentlemen’s.Club Fleet Commander commented, this fight was much less about the tower and more about intent, demonstrating the Stain-Wagon Coalition’s resolve to fight Gentlemen’s.Club. If this battle is anything to judge by, it seems Stain-Wagon is gearing up for a long war.
