K-MGJ7 system, Curse region. On the 17th of September, at 19:00 EVE Standard Time a The Initiative. [INIT.] Capital force was caught and destroyed by Pandemic Legion [-10.0].
The Initiative. lately had been attacking and claiming moons in the Curse region. The Gorgon Empire [-GE-] who owns moons in the region was among those attacked. Due to Time Zone differences between the two entities, Pandemic Legion was notified of what was happening, possibly with the hopes it would intervene and disrupt The Initiative.’s assault on The Gorgon Empire Moons.
On the 17th of September it did just that, as a large Capital force belonging to The Initiative and supported by a moderate Cerberus Heavy Assault Cruiser fleet was attacking a The Gorgon Empire tower in the K-MG37 system, estimated at around 60 pilots in total.
Using wormholes Pandemic Legion was able to muster a sizable Proteus/Legion Strategic Cruiser fleet of roughly 90 pilots. The fleet travelled to K-MGJ7, burning through several systems and wormholes in order to get the drop on The Initiative capital force. The fleet was assisted by a Test Alliance Please Ignore [TEST] Cynabal\Gila Cruiser fleet of about 60 pilots. The PL and TEST fleets linked up together en route. The interdictors were sent in to secure tackle, managing to land on top of the Capitals as they were still in their siege cycle, trapping them as the main fleet entered the field.
A brief skirmish developed between the two forces as The Initiative fleet attempted to clear tackle and fight the two hostile fleets which landed on top of their tackled Capitals. After two bloody attempts The Initiative fleet was forced to concede the field, unable to free their stricken capital fleet. The combined PL and TEST force was then able to burn down the trapped Capitals with ease, shutting down the attempted assault.
With the last Capital destroyed, Pandemic Legion and Test Alliance Please Ignore forces extracted safely back to their staging systems without further incident, leaving The Initiative to asses the damage.

All told the battle took 30 minutes from start to end, with the system housing around 200 players and no Time Dilation reported.
Pandemic Legion and Test Alliance Please Ignore lost 14 ships, mainly tackle for 700 Mil ISK damage. The Initiative. on the other hand, lost 17 Dreadnoughts, 1 Carrier and 14 Cerberus for a total of 58.7 Bil ISK damage.
With things heating up in the Curse region again, it is only a matter of time before more clashes occur over the many valuable moons in the region, prompting further violence.
