HLW-HP system, Curse region. On the 9th of July at 20:00 EVE Standard Time, Pandemic Legion [-10.0] undocked a massive Capital fleet, sending the rest of New Eden into high alert. Scouts from many prominent alliances and coalitions shadowed the fleet as it continued on its way, locator agents working around the clock so as to guess the fleet’s final destination. The fear of [-10.0] staging nearby at full force; with Super Capital numbers and aggressive tendencies, motivated others to keep tabs on the fleet.
This force, which numbered more than 500 Capital and Super Capital ships made its way south, causing noticeable Time Dilation as it moved, reaching up to the soul crushing 10%.
The fleet finally reached the Delve region, where it settled in the NPC constellation. This apparently caused DARKNESS. [DARK.] and allies to start evacuating assets. Jump Freighters could be seen undocking en-mass from their staging system in Querious, heading to Low Security space, while local traders reported an increase in the volume of trade, specifically asset clearance.
[DARK.] and allies have had a checkered past with [-10.0], the latter helping Elite Space Coalition (ESC) resist the former’s attempted reconquest of Querious and Delve in the past. With [-10.0] now fully deployed in Delve, that dream of reclaiming Delve and freeing locked assets has grown more distant. [DARK.] and allies held sovereignty over the entire South of New Eden not long ago. Whether this is a boon to ESC or a curse, is yet to be seen.
The most unlucky player seems to be Nulli Secunda [S2N], which was chased by [-10.0] out of its home regions as part of a contract by the Imperium. Even after the contract expired, [-10.0] dogged [S2N] operations in the Drone Lands. [S2N] was under contract for the Geminate Coalition (GemCo) against the Vanguard Coalition. With the Drone Lands war reaching a conclusion, [S2N] announced plans to join [DARK.]’s coalition a few days before this move occurred.
Whether this was planned or merely a coincidence is subject to speculation.
Regardless, [-10.0]’s move to NPC Delve is not surprising considering its location; allowing access both to the Fountain, Delve, Querious and Catch regions, all places experiencing recently huge upheavals and promising content. Whether or not this will continue now that [-10.0] has come down in force, is yet to be seen.
