Welcome once again to this week’s Super Capital kills summary. You can find the previous week’s summary posted here.
This report will include Super kills which occurred between June 22nd and June 30th.
A Nyx piloted by Mortiare Almera from an NPC corporation was destroyed primarily by Multicultural F1 Brigade [MCF1B], along with some smaller entities, in the system of Todifrauan, Metropolis.
I had the following conversation with Mortiare:
Mortiare Almera > o/
Amymuffmuff > hey
Mortiare Almera > So you want to write a story on the nyx loss?
Amymuffmuff > Yeah I would like to stick it in my super kill summary.
Mortiare Almera > I was moving it, I didn’t feel like dealing with jump fatigue, so I was hopping regular low sec gates. Made it over 20 gates before getting caught. Didn’t really care if I lost it as I am getting a titan.
Amymuffmuff > So was you moving anywhere in particular with it? To sell it or something? I noticed your character is now out of your corp.
Mortiare Almera > Just to meet up with my friends and shoot shit. Just want to be out of corp for titan then hop back in.
Amymuffmuff > So your not selling this toon etc?
Mortiare Almera > Thought about it, but not at this moment. I had 30 more jumps to go so it was going to die at some point hahaha.
Amymuffmuff > Did you attempt to contact anyone for support at all or just let it die?
Mortiare Almera > Just let it die. No point in calling for help, too far away
Amymuffmuff > Fair enough. Would you do it again next time the same?
Mortiare Almera > Yes of course, I honestly don’t care about the loss. It was funny to me, I can’t believe I made it that far.
Sid Afraldir from [MCF1B] provided me with the following information:
Tibo Paralian spotted the Nyx as it cyno’d into Arnher and warped to the Evati gate. I called for a flash form of HICS/Guardians and got them on the Todi gate in Evati. We got to Evati in time to watch him warp off the Arnher gate and go to a safe around planet five with his crow buddy who we assume was scouting for him.
We probed the Crow down, chased him off and burned around on grid hoping to decloak him, no luck. After 10-13 mins of burning around I had one Hic go refit a cloak and sit at a tac 300km from the Todifrauan gate in Evati. He cloaked up and I had everyone else jump Todi, reapproach the gate and safe log off right there. And then we waited about an hour for the Nyx to move. One of my members fucked off to null, killed a miner then ran back as the Nyx was called on D-scan.
Once the Nyx was a 0 on the Todi gate I had everyone else log in and our Hictor in Evati decloak and warp down to the gate. He jumped gate on contact and we grabbed him on the other side, calling everyone else we knew in the area to bring DPS while we held him down.
Artemis Dragmire from Suddenly Spaceships. [CYN0], one of the groups who answered the call for support, provided the following information:
It was a pretty slow night for myself and my corpmates, we were just winding down when I got word from Alvey that someone was shouting about a Nyx being tackled in our intel channels. The main tackle was done by Pyre Falcon Defence and Security, and they deserve the majority of the credit for catching him.
My understanding was that they discovered this Nyx traveling via gates and scrambled HICs to pin it. But they were a little short on DPS to bring it down quickly, and sent out the request into our shared intel channels.
I figured it was too far away to be something we could rally for but it turns out it was only 2 jumps away, so I immediately pinged our guys and started forming up. All I had available was my apoc navy issue, so I grabbed that, and then started burning toward the reported location of the Nyx, along with my good friends Mooya Aery and Alvey. I had Alvey scouting ahead in an interceptor, just to verify that yes, there was a Nyx tackled, and that there wasn’t people already watching the gates that would snag our BS as we travelled over there.
Alvey said all was good and then swung back to our staging system to grab a DPS ship (all he had was his hurricane which you can see on the killmail). Our guys were starting to log on at this point and I sort of became an impromptu leader for our efforts since I had the most information out of what limited info we had at the time.
When I landed on grid the Nyx was just dipping into armor and Odd Vector’s Naglfar was already in place. We sorted out fleet invites and stuff while we all piled on DPS onto the Nyx, and it was a bit of a clusterfuck, since not everything was blue to everything else, so ElCholo and I reiterated to our guys to ONLY shoot the Nyx, as we didn’t want a diplomatic incident on top of everything else.
In any case, the Nyx eventually dropped, and was looted pretty much immediately. No further issues were had to my knowledge in getting everyone extracted, and everyone went home 1 super kill richer on their killboards. (And in fact, it was my first one, as well as my roommate’s first (Mooya Aery) — and fun fact, his birthday is tomorrow, June 24, so I guess that was his EVE birthday gift. :D)
After he died it became more clear what was happening. The pilot of the Nyx thanked us in local for freeing him from his space coffin, and said he had travelled something like 24 jumps before finally being pinned down. I’m not sure exactly what happened, but it looks like someone got kicked from their alliance and wanted to get rid of the super in a more interesting way than just self destructing, and took it on one last adventure.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the pilot for sale on the character bazaar in the next couple days if he isn’t there already. All in all I am very happy at how things went down, our guys response times to a ping like this was super impressive, and even though things were hectic we kept everything organized, completed the objective, got everyone extracted, and didn’t cause a diplomatic incident with our blues that were on the field.
I gotta thank again the Pyre Falcon Defence and Security guys for getting the initial tackle and inviting us along for the ride. Was very appreciated. 🙂

An Aeon piloted by ABroker from Definitely not the Hot Drop [.DHD], The Gorgon Empire [-GE-] was destroyed by Pandemic Legion [-10.0] in the system of XX9-WV, Curse.
Little is known about this kill as neither the pilot nor the killers responded to any requests for information. Though clearly the fit implies that it was used for ratting and was caught after cynoing in to system as this killmail indicates.
A Nyx piloted by Jonny 3nglish from Celestial Argonauts [CE-AR], Gentlemen’s.Parlor [GSP0T] was destroyed by Red Alliance [RED] and friends in the system of M-RPN3, Tenerifis.
Legendery siajin, diplomat from [CE-AR], provided me with the following:
I think the guy wanted to fight that gang alone or something though I wasn’t online at the time. I happen to log in when he was in structure so I couldn’t do anything to save him. Haven’t really talked to the guy, but I think he thought he was yoyo210 and can kill everyone. It was a dam loss but if you check his kb that guy just doesn’t learn, and wanted to play like other experienced players in the corp. The rus block were really near so they just called in backup and as the ping went up from the roam gang FC, russian supers drop on field securing the kill. Sabre just held him on the field by warping in-off. As you know the delay time on locking a sabre is not great, also using a cloak just makes it very hard to escape when you are in a cap. CCP nerfed the fighters locking time that helped too, but CCP always help the blob with mechanics and nerf. As I said it was his choice to play like that, I don’t know about the defence fleet that formed up but from the results I don’t think the super was going to be saved with harpys. Then again my corp belong to the renter wing of GCLUB so I am sure they know better. As far as I am concerned my kb is green. Good catch by the rus block and of course good job on the nerfs to ccp
At the time of writing no response has been received from the hostile’s or pilot in question.
A Nyx piloted by hybrid1981 from Digital-Madness [DGMSS], EON Alliance [EON] (at the time of the kill) was destroyed by Confederation of xXPIZZAXx [PIZZA] in the system of 7UTB-F, Delve.
hybrid1981, the pilot provided the following comment:
yeah nice blue tackle action by Pizza Fucktards. Blue tackle is the most worst that can happen to a player so I want revenge.
Speedtouch, alliance executor of [EON], provided the following report:
EON Alliance and Pizza hardened its leadership team by identifiying and removing a pilot threatening the integrity of the rising ESC coaltion.
ESC has been focusing on it‘s primary objectives throughout the last few weeks and preparations for FozzieSov changes are almost done after Delve was taken successfully, so time for secondary objectives has come.
EON and Pizza obtained a lot of evidence and concluded, mutually, that by uncovering the drama and showing unity against treats and perfidiousness they could prevent it from happening again.
As a reaction and a statement visible to the public, the Pilot got bubbled and killed with immediate effect and disbanded out of the EON alliance regardless of standings
A Nyx piloted by phattool from Alfa Corporation [ALCOR], Dream Fleet [DRF] was destroyed by Hard Knocks Citizens [HKRAB] and Verge of Collapse [CRIT] in the system of 3AE-CP, Insmother.
NoobMan , alliance executor of [HKRAB], provided the following information:
Nyx warped to gate to fight a small gang of [CRIT]. [CRIT] bat-phoned [HKRAB] and we were 5 jumps away and brought a fleet and dread.
At the time of writing no response has been received from the pilot.
Compared to last week’s total of 293.8 Billion ISK lost, this week has only reached less than half of this with a total of 127.2 Billion ISK. Once again the Nyx class supercarrier has had the majority of losses this week, and over the month in general. One thing to note is that this week has included an selection of killers who have not been on similar mails for a while, excluding that of [-10.0] and [PIZZA].
Next week we shall return with an update on the upcoming week’s Super Capital losses from across all regions of space. Along with a monthly summary due out soon to analyse the kills that have taken place in June compared to May.
