Earlier today, a Erebus piloted by Jase Lors died to the hands off Dead Terrorists and Immediate Destruction in the system named: Brin in Metropolis.
Earlier this week a Immediate Destruction pilot was out doing exploration, when he spotted an Ark class jump freighter setting up a POS. This is not necessary anything special however the next day, members of a Suddenly Spaceships corporation named Mind GamesDOT showed up in local. The scout had already informed his FC’s who quickly realized that Suddenly Spaceships was moving into system.
Knowing that Suddenly Spaceships owned some capitals, Immediate Destruction started to do a check for possible targets, adding them to their watch lists while moving HIC’s to the targeted system. They were new fully prepared for what possibly could happen and the wait began.
While waiting they noticed that one of their targets, Jase Lors’s Erebus, was indeed coming their direction though after a few jumps he logged out again and so the wait continued again.
Then earlier today, the Erebus suddenly logged in and immediately jumped into his final mid. However, he didn’t log off this time which gave the Immediate Destructions FC’s the idea that he could possibly be about to jump into his final destination. All Immediate Destructiont HIC pilots who had moved earlier to the system were ordered to log in and cloak up around the tower.
After about 30 minutes a Proteus alt, that was connected to Suddenly Spaceships, entered local and warped to the direction of their POS. The HICs indeed saw the Proteus land on the POS grid though he had warped at range and cloaked as soon as he landed. While waiting Immediate Destruction informed Dead Terrorists who quickly formed a fleet consisting of 7 Dreads and 7 carriers supported by a handful of Armor Battleships.
Nothing happened for around 5 minutes until the Proteus decloaked and lit his cyno, seconds later Jase Lors entered local. Quickly all Immediate Destruction HIC’s decloaked and warped to cyno. While in warp, the Erebus appeared on grid. With HIC’s already landing the Erebus stood no chance of warping out and found itself tackled seconds later.
With the Erebus tackled Immediate Destruction & Dead Terrorists decided to pull the trigger and cyno’d in their fleet, killing the Erebus moments later thanks to their DPS on a travel fit titan.
When asking Jase Lors for a his side of the story he replied with the following:

Jase Lors > Basically all that happened is I jumped in to a tower with a couple neutrals in local that I didn’t recognise. I got complacent and jumped in, 2 hics point me and the rest is on the killmail 🙂
