Burn Amarr: Day 2 Concludes

June 21, 2015

Amarr system, Domain region. The second day of the Burn Amarr campaign has concluded. The campaign started from Downtime of the 19th of June, with the expressed intention of ganking ships in and around the Amarr system, which acts as a major trading hub for the South and South East of New Eden by Imperium forces.

This campaign has been characterized, it seems, by Imperium forces focused less on the Amarr system itself, and more on the neighboring systems, attacking ships in Sarum Prime, Ashab, Madirmilire and Niarja.

The event is set to continue for another 24 hours. Travelers are advised to pass through these systems in small, fast ships only. Under no circumstance should Freighters and Industrials travel through the region.

Below are the statistics of the second day, divided according to system and ship class:

Since the prevalent use of alts and the fact not all killmails are recorded, it is hard to take these figure without a pinch of salt. However, it seems that the Imperium was able to inflict 86.124 Bil ISK of damage, at the cost of 8.575 Bil ISK alone. The Madirmilire system in particular proved to be the most lucrative, with 37.76 Bil ISK destroyed, while both Bhizheba and Sarum prime systems turned out to be the most disappointing, with no Freighters or Industrials destroyed.

It seems that as more pilots become aware of the Imperium presence in the Domain region, the Imperium itself has less targets around to gank, with today’s figures representing almost a 50% drop in destroyed ships and ISK. With another day left before the campaign concludes, it may be safe to assume tomorrow’s figures may drop even lower. However, some may say its still too early to call it.
