Entosis Link Testing Now Live On Singularity

2015 is the year of the ‘Fozzie Sov’, where for the first time since 2009 CCP is shaking up the null sec sovereignty system, a process which was started back in October, the original dev blogs were as follows:

• PHASE ONE
• Long Distance Travel Changes (October 2014) – a blog detailing the original changes to jump drive capable ships.
• Phoebe Travel Change Update (October 2014) – A blog detailing changes to jump drives following player feedback.
• Coming to EVE online in the Proteus Release and a Status Update on Sovereignty (December 2014) – This Blog by CCP Seagull gave us primarily a look at the Proteus expansion but also included a section on the progress on Sovereignty re-design.

• PHASE TWO
• Where We Stand (March 2015) which retrospectively looks back at the impact on phase one’s jump changes and player activity overall in Nullsec and detailing the thought processes behind planned changes.
• Politics By Other Means (March 2015) which goes into more detail about initially proposed changes themselves.
• Summer 2015 Nullsec and Sov Status Report (May 2015) – provides the latest update on the development of the new sovereignty mechanics confirming the initial release of the first parts of Phase Two around June 2nd.

With the Entosis Link going live on structures on June 2nd CCP Logibro released a Dev Blog Linking to a forum post by CCP Lebowski announcing testing to go live on singularity today. In his forum post he writes:

Hello again tenacious testers!

In the upcoming Carnyx release we will be releasing the next step in our ongoing Sovereignty work, where Station services will be enabled/disabled using the new Entosis mechanics.

As such, we’ve got a special setup for you all on Singularity, to make it easy to test these out!

Test Wars Episode IV: Alliance A vs Alliance B

We’ve set up two test alliances each with three systems and three stations in Fountain, conveniently set up with 3 NPC null systems separating them.

As of today, we’re accepting any pilots or existing corporations to come join the test war!

Systems

Rules:

• The moveme command will now allow pilots to move to YZ-LQL, a NPC null system equidistant from each Alliance’s space.
• Combat is only permitted within the 6 alliance owned systems, all other systems follow the normal Singularity rules (Combat only upon consent)
• Remember what the test server is for! By all means test out strategies and metas, but this should all be in the name of testing the functionality of the station services. As always, remember Wheatons Law
• No SBUs, no attacking the TCUs or Ihubs, no trying to flip stations, this is all about Station Services and the Entosis link.

How to Join

As a pilot:
– Apply to either executor corp

As a corp
– Have your CEO apply to join either Alliance
OR
– If the above is not possible in a short space of time, send a mail to ‘CCP Lebowski’ in game, and I’ll attempt to expediate the transfer.

Notes/FAQ

• Station Services are currently all grouped together on one single point in space. This will be changing in the coming weeks to make it easier to distinguish which is under attack
• Due to the above point the new Entosis UI is only currently active on the fitting service.
• This test will be ongoing until the release of Carnyx
• The duration penalty for capital ships is yet to be implemented.
• You don’t have to be in one of the two alliances to get involved, players should feel free to come along regardless of your corporate affiliation.
