Another Day. Another leak. This time we received the following Alliance mail sent out by Tora Bushido, CEO of The Marmite Collective, a well-known highsec ”wardec” alliance! Enjoy!

To:….. but the beginning of something new and awesome! Last week I had a chat with Scandor about merging our two great alliances. Not an easy decision to make (been thinking about it for at least 6 months), but one that could make us both stronger and give us more options.
Some reasons why we think this would be a good idea:
• Forsaken has a strong USA time zone and Marmites has a strong EU time zone.
• We already fly a lot together.
• We would save a lot of isks on war dec fees.
• We have pretty similar alliance rules.
• It would minimize burnouts of fc’s, directors and ceo’s.
• The leadership from both alliances have good relations with each other.
• Our clients will be very happy to get even more pressure on their targets.Even with all the advantages, it’s still not an easy thing to do. So we rather take some extra time and do it good, then to rush things.
A few important things we need to work out (there are more):
Alliance Name
We’re all proud of our own alliance (name), which we all worked very hard for. So what will we call the new alliance ? I tried to call it “Tora Rocks”, but something, something, EGO…. Not a good idea. 🙂 One option is to call it “Forsaken – Marmites”, as these are the most important parts of our current names. This way we can still keep our own identity, but also show we’re a joined force now. The second option is to create a complete new alliance name and have all members vote for it. The advantage of option 2 is, our targets don’t know the alliance name yet and might underestimate the war.Alliance Leadership
Currently Marmites has one ceo (Tora) and two co-ceo’s (Magic and Kypp). Forsaken also has one ceo (Scandor) and two co-ceo’s (Khromius and Sarah). These 6 would be running the new alliance. Probably in a new exec corp, so its easier to pay bills and setup wars.FC’s
Forsaken has some good fc’s, Marmites don’t have that many yet (Fybs does most). What I am hoping for is, because we will have more players online 24/7, we will see more smaller groups with fc’s hunting. This will make it easier for those fc’s to step up and fc bigger fleets.
Trade Hub Undocks
Marmites only allow 1 corp (max 25 players) to be on the trade hubs. If we merge, we could make that 40-50 or some number and make room for Forsaken guys to join. We do not want more then 10-15% of our members to be on the trade hubs. As long as we keep it this way and the trade hub guys work as a team, it will be ok. What we don’t want is, lone wolfs on a trade hub and fuck up war reports others have been working hard for. Or people who call us a big alliance of trade hub campers. It should be a small part of what we do.The plan is to drop all wars, which will take about 2-3 weeks. During this time, everyone has some time to move stuff around, get doctrine ships we need for fleets and all those other things you never had time for. Once we have no outgoing wars, all corps can start joining the new alliance. 24 hours before the move, we will start wars, so you can hunt the moment you’re in the new alliance. Once we’re all in the new alliance, please give each other some room to adjust to the new situation.
I know it’s a big step and not an easy one, but I think it will be good for everyone in alliance,
Tora
EDIT : Directors from both alliances decided on creating a new alliance name. We’ll be holding a little competition for the person who suggest the winning name. The winner will receive 500mil.
