Pakkonen, Lonetrek. On the 2nd of May, two Nyx class Super Carriers belonging to Project.Mayhem. [16-13] were destroyed by forces belonging to Snuffed Out [B B C]. However, their capture and subsequent demise paints a very long a bloody history that came to an end at that moment, and all because of a grudge.
The story begins on May 1st, when a gang belonging to [16-13] roamed through Black Rise, reaching the Enaluri system, home of Did he say Jump [JMP-N]. The locals did not welcome the intrusion, and decided to show [16-13] to the door, bringing 3 Carriers and a support fleet. Unable to fight such a superior force, [16-13] had to concede the field, but decided to retaliate.
May 2nd, [16-13] decide to execute their revenge. Capitals and Super Carriers are brought to a system in range of Enalari. A Battleship fleet is assembled and brought to the gate in Akidagi. [JMP-N]’s fleet is on the other side and grows impatient, finally deciding to jump in, which proves to be a mistake. The fight starts on the Enaluri gate, with [JMP-N] bringing in a Triage Archon. [16-13] brings in a bait Dreadnought and Carrier, [JMP-N] retaliate with more Dreadnoughts. This is the moment [16-13] was waiting for. A cynosural beacon is lit and in come the Super Carriers, who quickly dispatch most of [JMP-N]’s Capitals. At this point the battle ends, with [16-13] killing no less than 3 Dreadnoughts and 2 Carriers, as well as a few Battleships, and only losing 1 bait Dreadnought in return. Battle report can be found here.
However, before [16-13] can celebrate their victory, disaster strikes. While moving their Battleship fleet through High Security space, their Super Carriers must jump through Low Security space in order to reach their home. This causes them to use a middle point in the Pakkonen system. Unknown to [16-13], [B B C] was informed of the Nyxs’ movements and were already covering all possible routes. As the Nyxs jump into the system, their fate is sealed. Combat probes, already out and waiting by [B B C] Stealth Bombers are scanning the Super Carriers down. They manage to warp to a safe and cloak, but its too late, they were already pinpointed. The Stealth Bomber warps on top one of the Nyxs and decloaks it. It then proceeds to bridge in a [B B C] Battleship fleet which holds down the Nyx. With the influx of ships, another Nyx decloaks as well and gets tackled immediately.
With both Nyxs tackled, [B B C] bring in their Super Carrier fleet. One by one the Nyxs succumb to the oncoming onslaught.
With their task complete, [B B C] returned home, thus leaving but one remaining Nyx to make the long and arduous journey alone, where three came out only one returns.

As demonstrated in the famous Butterfly Effect trailer of CCP Games, this is once more proof of just how the actions of several individuals can shape those of dozens, and even hundreds of other players. Had [JMP-N] not dropped their Capitals on [16-13], [16-13] would not have decided to retaliate, had [B B C] not been contacted, many things would have been different. Thankfully though, they had.
