In an internal alliance announcement released by the newly formed Pandemic Horde (PH) on the 28th of April, instructions were given to “avoid giving any sort of fights to Northern Coalition.” The alliance mail goes into detail and describes why no fights are to be given and how Pandemic Horde FC’s are to “blueball” NCdot at all times stating that they are “to go full Gianturco on this one.”
The rationale behind this has to do with standings. Pandemic Legion (PL) being blue and Pandemic Horde being neutral to NCdot means that their pilots could shoot the new PH pilots while PL mentors are not allowed to shoot back.
In a reasonable attempt to sort everything out Gobbins of PH, talked to NCdot leader Vince Draken about the situation who fixed the issue by setting PH to blue. The next morning upon finding out PH had been set to blue standings, the NCdot FC Travis Musgrat threatened to stop fleet commanding completely unless PH was reset.
Gobbins goes on to say in regards to Travis: “This guy is so desperate for easy kills the diplo refused to even wait a few hours for me to organize things before the standings are reset.” As a result, PH will simply avoid any and all fights attempted by NCdot for the foreseeable future stating that “they can find their content elsewhere.”
Not surprisingly, the alliance mail was posted to Reddit and at the time of publication of this article was around 700 comments in about 13 hours. You can read the alliance mail by clicking here, and follow the thread on Reddit by clicking here.
Below is a transcript of the Pandemic Horde Alliance mail that was sent out:
VERY IMPORTANT: DENY FIGHTS TO NCdot
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
Avoid giving any sort of fights to Northern Coalition.
Do not ever give fights to these guys. They are set to RED on overview so you can easily identify them. Horde FCs are to blueball NCdot at all times. This means if they show up in HED just dock and wait for them to leave unless you have absolutely overwhelming numbers to gank them. We are going to go full Gianturco on this one.
If some newbean gets ganked by NCdot dont yell at him but if you see an FC in fleet trying to form up to brawl them, please ask the FC to stop and direct them to this thread. I already spoke to the main horde FCs but for the few that I missed, read the rationale below.
RATIONALE:
NCdot is an elite pvper alliance. Recently they started a war with goons which chost them all of their space and all of their allies. They have 1 blu remaining, Pandemic Legion. Whenever we assisted NCdot in the fights against providence, they would reset us after the fight but not PL. This is because their FCs enjoy the occasional free carrier kill or gank in HED at the expense of horde.
This is totally fine if it weren’t for the fact we have a mix of PL mentors and newbeans fighting in them in HED. PL being blu and Horde being neutral means the NC guys could shoot newbeans while mentors were not allowed to shoot back. They even threatened to doomsday our carriers in HED since they are not afraid of PL supers retailating.
I talked to NC leadeer Vince about the situation and he was a bro about it, gladly set blues to fix the issue. Unfortunately Vince is on a break at the moment, and the next morning I find out the NC FC who is running their campaign (Travis Musgrat) threatened to stop FCing completely unless Horde is reset. The guy is so desperate for easy kills the diplo refused to even wait a few hours for me to organize things before the standings are reset.
The truth is, with no space left and fresh out of getting their asses kicked by goons, these guys are desperate to get their swag back. The way you get your swag back is to find a soft target and farm it for “goodfights” which really just means getting easy kills and dropping supers when things get nasty.
Unlike brave leadership we are very familiar with this dynamic, so we are going to simply absolutely deny NCdot of the content they so desperately need, their FC threatened to stop playing if we werent reset. This means full blueballs. Any other alliance that shows up in HED for fights feel free to engage normally, but absolutely avoid giving NC. a fight.
I know blueballing (again that means “denying fights”) us birubg but it is a fundamental part of 0.0 pvp in this game. Consider this a part of the 0.0 learning experience, and again, we all know that we are hardly struggling to find content in HED-GP – so I doubt the “goodfights” with NCdot will be missed.
TL DR:
So we are going to deny these guys the courtesy of any kind of “goodfights” in HED. Simply avoid engaging NC whenever they show up, force them to be blueballed and find their content elsewhere, its not like we lack targets in HED anyways.
