Super capital wrecks have been strewn across low- & null-sec since Phoebe and this month has been no exception. To add to the current tally of 9 supers and 2 titans which have died as of February, another titan joins the scrap heap of eviscerated dreams.
The Leviathan-class titan was destroyed in the lowsec system of Iralaja in the region of Black Rise. It was piloted by DwarfMaster of what appears to be his own corporation called SideWork after he left the Boa Innovations corporation from Shadow of xXDEATHXx alliance on 25th February.
This titan was killed by the lowsec alliance Snuffed Out which is primarily made up of the corporation Snuff Box, one of the larger entities based in the Black Region area.
According to this reddit post the following happened:
Had this guy scouted shooting a POS, warping off, cloaking and doing stupid shit. Got our Supers, Hics and Titans midpointed ready to cover most of the systems.
Got some Hics to spook him in his system waiting for him to jump out where we had a cloaked Hic waiting for him. The moment the cyno went up and he jumped out our Hic was in warp.
“POINT! IT’S POINTED GO GO GO”
The rest of the fleet bridged in 1 jump out on a gate, jumped in and warped to the Hic that had the point, supers come in, then titans. Pew pew, finish him off with doomsdays.

I did manage to catch up with DwarfMaster following the event and he had this to say:
I was exhausted and decided to abort something I had in mind. I was completely safe in a friendly POS but hated leaving myself unfinished and away from home so decided to jump back to my home system and safe up in my POS. However in all the million bookmarks I have I think I used the same one to cyno in on and got the self destruct to 5 sec before I lit it but still got caught as I entered. Unfortunately I hadn’t refit which was stupid and one of the many mistakes I made so I died quite quickly. The initial point was solid but I had time to lock him so if I had neuts fitted I would have had a chance of getting away.
I had an idea I was probably scouted but underestimated other player’s talents. After using my titan to shoot at a POS it would probably have been wiser to log off in the friendly POS and not log in again until a lot later. I know to alot of alliances a titan is a big thing and shouldn’t be used unless in certain circumstances but to me that isn’t the case. If I have the option to use it for something then I will because i’ve spent the time getting it in the first place. The easy thing to do would have setup a POS and DD JFs on station and safe up but I decided to reinforce a POS on my own like I have before.
Ultimately I could have stuck with using it to F1 but I didn’t and that’s what gets you killed because you don’t think of everything that you should do or could happen. But this is EVE so you replace it and just try again.
Just over a year ago, he lost a Wyvern, which goes to show that he isn’t afraid to use his toys even if it does end with him on the wrong side of a killmail. What do you think is best: using your toys only when ordered or throwing them around in whatever manner you wish? I doubt that the POS kill was worth 115 billion ISK, but judging by DwarfMaster’s quote above he’ll be back throwing big toys around like shitfit Rifters in no time!
