Early this morning, a Nyx piloted by xSoliDx was caught and killed by the Lazerhawks corporation in Delve.
Initial reports stated there was a pair of Rattlesnakes ratting in system and once they were tackled and in danger the Nyx pilot attempted to rescue it by warping into the anomaly.
To confirm this story, I contacted the Lazerhawks corporation and pyropwnsu along with Anomilk Dairlylover agreed to provide me with the following information:
Lazerhawks > well basically, we tackled a Rattlesnake in an anom
Lazerhawksr > then Rattle + Nyx came to save it
Amymuffmuff > And how did you find the guy?
Lazerhawks > some guys went out with tackle to try to catch some ratting carriers
Lazerhawks > when they got into system they all bounced anomalies and one landed on the rattle
Amymuffmuff > Did you have a WH in system or was it close to travel around from?
Lazerhawks > it was 3 jumps from a Null direct to our home
Lazerhawks > we had a direct to M-SRKS

Lazerhawks > first and 2nd Dread land on hole to Null
Lazerhawks> 2nd Dread realizes he doesnt even have fuel
Lazerhawks > brings a hauler to himself and fuels up
Lazerhawks > third Dread comes to the hole, they jump, and third doesnt make it, hole collapses
Lazerhawks > i lit cyno right in Nyx’s face, and they tear him to shreds. Dreads cyno out, and subcaps actually scan the system we killed the Nyx in
Lazerhawks > and found a Highsec hole through a C5 connected to that Null
Lazerhawks > incredibly clean execution, quick extraction
Lazerhawks > but props to the Nyx for having balls to use it

Hey, TeamGreen is my main character and xSoliDx my alt ‘toon. MrsMiyura and I were ratting in G-M5L3. We were aligned and I did a squad-warp when we noticed Lazerhawks in local. MrsMiyura warped off and I bumped against a rock in the anomaly, but then suddenly the bubble went up. After I was caught, I told my mate to come back and help me fight to win this. We were fighting about 10 minutes against six or seven people including two ‘dictors, a Gila and other small ships and it looked good for us in the fight as they couldnt break us, and we began to get kills: Crow. After 10 minutes of fighting with my mate MrsMiyura against them, I totally underestimated the situation and thought I could end the fight very quick with my Nyx. So I made an error that I thought would help win the fight with the ratting fit against the small ships because I have better tracking with the fighters; meaning I didn’t refit to full combat when warping back to grid. I tried my best to kill the ‘dictors, but soon more people from Lazerhawks came in and the situation escalated with the whole fight taking about 30 minutes. I managed to save my Rattlesnake with TeamGreen but my friend MrsMiyura and my ‘toon in the Nyx died. It was a nice fight and we had a lot of fun, I tried to save the situation with the Nyx and my Rattlesnake but I failed at this point :D. I’d like to say thank you to all the 250 people from DARKNESS, Kadeshi and NCdot that tried to save me but due to my noob errors I died too fast. I say good fight to Lazerhawks and sorry to my alliance and corporation, Cathouse Club.

It looks like Teamgreen made the simple error of misunderstanding the situation he was in and instead of simply leaving the Rattlesnakes to die, he mistakenly ended up losing his Nyx, which, if it had been combat fit may have lived. This shows that with the best intentions, things can go wrong and most likely will.
