On the 8th of November, a Black Legion. tower was coming out of reinforced in the lowsec system of Deven. For reasons unknown no fleet was sent by Black Legion. to defend or repair this tower so Snuff Box, a low sec PVP corp, along with allies formed up dreads and combat carriers to shoot the tower. After the Snuff Box dreads entered siege mode and began shooting a Shadow Cartel Proteus fleet entered the system and warped in on the unsuspecting dreads and begun to primary Snuff Box’s sub-capital support. After realizing their fleet could not break Snuff Box’s triage reps, the Shadow Cartel Proteus refocused on a Moros belonging to Azran who was in siege mode and therefore unable to receive remote assistance of any kind.
The Moros was going down too slowly, however, with a full tank fit and siege mode active. But as he was coming out of siege, Shadow Cartel supercarriers landed on grid and melted the Moros in seconds. The SC Supers began to primary triage carriers and Snuff Box started to scramble in their own supers among other ships and the fight began in earnest. Supercarriers were called primary, shots were fired and the combined might of Snuff Box began to break a Shadow Cartel Nyx. As their Nyx hit low armor, however, Shadow Cartel warped supers off as, thanks to the general panic and confusion, points were not maintained and all SC supers cleared the field shortly followed by Snuff Box supers.
Before long, the SC supers were back on grid, at range this time, picking off Snuff Box carriers and dreadnoughts at will. One Shadow Cartel Nyx, however, warped to the wrong celestial and upon landing cloaked up. What he didn’t know was that he landed less then 10 kilometers away from a Snuff Box cloaky alt. Immediately Snuff Box scrambles Navy Apocalypse’s among other ships and warps in their own supers quickly burning the enemy Nyx down. The other SC supers remained far enough off the fight to stay out of point range and warp off before a second super could be killed. Snuff safe’d their own supers up and tried to clear the SC sub-capitals but unfortunately Shadow Cartel had the sub-capital advantage and were able to clean up the field and force Snuff Box into retreat. In the end, Shadow Cartel won the ISK war but lost a super and Phoebe shined. Thanks to the new force projection limitations no huge Nullsec Alliance showed up to ruin the day with their 500 man Tengu fleets and 200 man titan death squads. GF’s were shared in local and eve was, for one day, a better place.
