Early today, the 19th of October, Elazar Keon, the leader of Stainwagon Coalition, tended his resignation to the Stainwagon Executive Board, citing personal reasons as the main motivator behind this action.
Elazar Keon became leader of the Stainwagon Coalition after the Halloween War, when the entire coalition was in tetters. Several key alliances disbanded or defected, many prominent figures and pilots were burnt out after more than a year of continuous fighting. The entire coalition was forced back to the Stain NPC region, where it was suppressed by Northern Coalition(dot), who worked hard to destroy any remaining infrastructure owned by the member alliances.
With his work cut out for him, Elazar Keon toiled to re-organize the coalition, and getting it back to shape. In the last few weeks, Stainwagon forces were seen forcing back Northern Coalition(dot), re-appearing in the Catch region, and even helping their old time enemy, Providence Bloc, in its ongoing war with HERO Coalition. Lately they have even started retaking the R64 moons in Stain, which were previously occupied by Northern Coalition(dot).
However, it seems that their recent successes have created internal disputes, with old rivalries flaring up. A feud between Soviet-Union and The Afterlife(dot) to Red Alliance and Dream Fleet has been sapping much of the leadership’s strength, and was admitted by Elazar Keon as another reason for his resignation, as he could not fully understand the nature of the feud nor solve it.
As it stands, Elazar Keon will continue and fly under the banner of Against ALL Authorities. He is confident in the strength of the coalition he is leaving to his successors, and with the Phoebe patch rolling in, the success of retaking of the Catch region from HERO Coalition in the near future, citing GE-8JV will be in Stainwagon’s hands by the start of November.
