Over the weekend two supers were killed in the Syndicate region. Goonswarm Federation and Cynosural Field Theory, laid out a trap for Psychotic Tendencies. and Ninja Unicorns with Huge Horns to bite on with an Archon aggressed on station. Henry Plantgenet, a NPC alt, was bait outside of a station in the Syndicate system of TXW-EI.
Upon hearing the news of an aggressed capital sitting on a station one system from their home, Tishu (Psychotic Tendencies.) started to send out pings for capital alts and dreads to be readied. In the normal fashion of Tishu, this would include dropping multiple supers in an attempt to flex their muscles and remind the region who they should have on their watchlist. Lex Arson, the alliance head of Tishu, asked for other super pilots to prepare to jump against the protest from co-alliance head, are34. are34 having been upset a few days prior due to the loss of a few capitals to a ganked roam, was on high alert for stupid decisions that could lead to the loss of more isk as well as pride. The debate on whether to bring supers or not was done on a higher up channel between Lex Arson and are34, leading the other super pilot, wilkokab or John Selth, to believe that the supers were needed.
As the cyno went up and the capitals started to land on grid, lex brought his own super pilot, Avarice Lorelei, and so followed John Selth with his. With both supers on field, the trap was sprung and a HIC de-cloaked and warped down to the station to trap the helpless aggressors while the cavalry was called in. When the bubble went up, Lex called in another Tishu member, and his newly scammed Wyvern to assist in their extraction while the other supers attempted to coast out of danger. TinkerHell of Cynosural Field Theory. and their goon partners began to alpha the capitals off field with the ridiculous damage per second helped greatly by Elissim4U’s Revenant. A lone hero named Act-Mack PVT hopped into a bumping Machariel in an attempt to bump the suppers out of the bubble to safety.
His efforts were not in vain, he was able to save Lex Arson’s super before it could be blown to pieces with it’s comrades. Out of the three supers, the only one to escape was Lex Arson’s. After the fight, are34 voiced his discontent with the way things were handled and went so far as to offer to sell all of his accounts and retire from the game. Tensions have since calmed down, and Tishu and their partner alliance Ninja Unicorns with Huge Horns are back to normal. This was an enormous victory for TinkerHell and his alliance Cynosural Field Theory., the trap was well laid out and executed almost perfectly, save for a few dreads lost and the third super escaping. It will be interesting to see if these two regional powerhouses now target each other more than they did in the past.
Although this is not the first time Cynosural Field Theory. has taken one of their supers, during the summer a similar situation occurred where TinkerHell was able to kill a Nyx of Tempest Legion, this time a lot more was lost. Already two POCOs belonging to Tishu have been reinforced by Cynosural Field Theory. and more conflicts are eminent. Only time will tell how far both entities will be willing to go.
