EN24 Network: Be part of our expansion.

October 6, 2014

During the last four months, we have been making several key changes to EN24 to increase our capacity to bring you quality content on a daily basis. Also, it has constantly been in our best interest to expand our readers’ EVE Online experience beyond the boundaries of our current operation.

Two New Sites

Several players and staffers alike have come forward and asked me why I haven’t expanded into other games yet. Is not a secret that for long I have wished to expand EN24 beyond EVE Online news maintaining our “niche” flavor. In the past I have tried to do it, only to find that it is quite difficult to deliver it as a “one man show”. Now with Bob and the rest of the guys on board, I can focus my efforts in expanding our EN24 network. All this without losing focus on EVE online news and still fulfilling my real life job (Yes, I do have one of those).

For this, I am happy to announce the launch two upcoming websites and the adhesion of EN24 into our network of niche sites. The first site is an Gaming Culture Site. The second is a League of Legends news site, which has us quite excited to apply the EN24 model into it. Our launch schedule is for October 15th.

Calling Brave New Writers.

Both sites already have a “core” staff in place, yet we are looking for writers interested in making a name for themselves. For this reason, any interested writer should be aware that his or her contribution will be tagged with his or her real life name should he decide to. This is a significant opportunity for young and aspiring writers looking to create a body of work to add to their portfolio. We are also willing to write and back letters of recommendations to those young writers.

Forums.

We have been using us current forums for internal EN24 affairs that require asynchronous planning, which also game us a ton of experience running them (Running a forum is not as easy at it looks). Now we feel we are ready to launch our own forums.

The purpose of these forums is to provide a deeper and more lasting conversation regarding topics which might remain relevant longer than the EN24 editors might think. It is also in our best interest to be able to develop a more mature EN24 community – forums is the first step in this direction.

It is our goal to provide this reader base with a medium to raise the issues they feel should be highlighted and to give us a proper feedback on topics we might overlook.

Calling All Mods!

We are making an open call for moderators and tester to come forward and give us a hand in building this community. Having a previous forum moderation experience is a very desirable skill-set. Ohh, did I mention moderators also get paid a nice isk allowance?
