A Black Legion Avatar just went down in the the low security space of Vestouve in the Placid region. The story goes that the Titan was caught bridging out of a non corporation owned player owned station (POS) and into another password protected POS after being told not to which Pandemic Legion happened to have the password for. While the BL Titan pilot was idling, PL then started to “bump” the Avatar with Machariel’s out until it was clear of the POS shield.
A cyno was lit and PL jumped their dread fleet into the system, making short work of the Titan. BL did attempt to defend the Titan with a defensive fleet of their own however managing to kill nine dreads, five carriers, and two Macheriel’s in retribution for their failed attempt to save the Avatar.
In total over 165 billion isk was lost in the skirmish when all was said and done overall. A battle report of the fight can be viewed here.
Redditor’s over the r/EVE subreddit also gave their own account of the kill. One such account is as follows:
A non-Origin titan was for fuck knows what reason bridging out of an Origin tower (i.e. no roles) that was passworded, a tower everyone with a titan/super had EXPLICITLY been told not to idle in or bridge from for exactly that reason. As soon as the bridge went up, a couple PL Machs came along and went to town.
Morale of the story- don’t be a stupid Titan pilot who doesn’t listen unless you can afford to give folks free killmails.
