As the ongoing campaign in the north heats up Nulli Secunda brings the pain, except this time it’s self inflicted.
S2N and X.I.Xforces brawled with CFC forces CONDI , BASTN and -RZR-
Nulli and Legion of xXDeathXx using a combination of Ishtars, Vexor Navy Issues and Guardians along with fast tackle verse the CFC’s Tengu, Proteus and Scimitar fleet along with a compliment of fast tackle, ewar and 3 Archons. The brawl started with CFC forces jumping into
9P40-F from Q-TBHQ, Nulli and Legion of Death being on the defensive having bubbled the gate and deployed drones would have given them a significant starting advantage I would have thought.
The first CFC primary is a Vexor Navy Issue, which fell rather quickly to the combined might of the Tengu /Proteus railguns, this situation repeats several more times before the Guardians start to land repairs and the CFC forces start switching between Guardians and back to Ishtars and Vexors to take incoming damage off the field.
With the CFC forces having the upper hand due to primarily using tech 3 cruisers with their low signature radius accompanied with the high resistances and raw hitpoints of the Tengu and Proteus, the brawl rages on and few tech 3 ships are lost and more and more Ishtars explode.
Ishtars continued melting despite having high kinetic and thermal resistances, the repairs and buffer of the Ishtars were just not enough. CFC at the same time as breaking null reps, continually added members to the field. Things started to look bleak for Nulli and xXDeathXx, as their morale started to waver, they found it harder and harder to destroy any members of the CFC fleet.
Nulli and xxDeathXx pulled back closer to the gate, while they are able to extract to the stargate some logistics and Ishtars are left stranded away from the Q-TBHQ gate inside hostile bubbles. As the CFC fleet landed closer to the Q-TBHQ gate and primary the opposing fleets Guardians, they started dropping quickly again, along with a Damnation.
Nulli and xXDeathXx extract from the fight leaving several more stragglers behind, this fight not going quite as they might have hoped.
In a fairly even fight (albeit Tech 3′s vs Tech 2 and faction cruisers) the Tengu’s and Proteus of CFC reigned supreme and bloodied Nulli and xXDEATHXx quite a bit.
With Nulli’s deployment to the north not going quite to plan and suffering some big losses from some small errors (letting the proteus fleet get close to the ishtars) we will have to wait and see if Nulli can turn the ever increasing tide of losses around!
CFC forces having taken the field are left with mountains of abandoned sentry drones, wrecks and various goodies to boost morale and their wallets.
For all the CFC naysayers about 3v1 odds or more the fight was 246 v 255 with Nulli having the defensive bubbles and drones out and assisted CFC did well.
Hopefully we will see more evenly matched fights leading up to the alliance tournament.
