Large fights with 10b+ isk of ships destroyed seldom occur in wormhole space, thanks to the difficulty in moving ships around in these systems. However the early hours of Sunday saw a massive fight take place in the system of J100820, in which Hard Knocks Inc. forces assaulted the system, owned by Sleeper Social Club.
Hard Knocks brought a force of 35 pilots, consisting of two Naglfars, two Bhaalgorns and a Nestor, with the rest in T3 ships and Guardians. Sleeper Social Club were on the back foot in terms of numbers, having just the 25 ships that they could muster in the late US timezone. They went into the battle with two Archons and one Moros, with the rest of the pilots in T3s.
The fight began when Hard Knocks warped to the Sleeper Social Club fleet. Owing to their two dreadnoughts and superior numbers Hard Knocks had superior DPS and a lot of neuting power in their two Bhaalgorns. After just seven minutes of fighting Sleeper Social Club disengaged and retreated.
When the smoke had cleared it emerged that the battle had gone decisively in Hard Knocks’ favour. The only loss taken by the attackers was a single Naglfar, although it was an expensive one with a value of just over six billion isk. By comparison Sleeper Social Club lost all the capitals they fielded along with five T3s, their losses totalled 16.14 billion isk.
