2018: Amarr Loyalists CVA and PIE recognized

January 13, 2019

For the Coronation Day celebrations of Imperial Majesty Catiz I, the Empress wanted to take this time to honor two organizations that have been ever so loyal to the Amarr Cause. Cardinal Itaren made the following statements on the behalf of the Empress in regards to Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris.
“Her Most Sublime and Imperial Majesty Catiz I, in recognition of 15 years of loyal service to Holy Amarr and four Emperors, is pleased to order that the Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris be accorded the status of a Chapter of the Sacred Throne Order with all the rights and privileges thereof. Capsuleers of the Excubitoris Chapter may use the style of Paladin Ordinary of the Sacred Throne Order. Capsuleers of the Excubitoris Admiralty ranks, active and retired, may use the style and dignity of Paladin Commander of the Sacred Throne Order. The loyal officers of the Excubitoris may elect one of their number as Chapter Master. So ordered in the Privy Council of Her Imperial Majesty Catiz I.”
Members of Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris celebrated this news by throwing the 2nd annual Jubilee Gala in honor of her most sublime the Imperial Majesty Catiz I. This event saw pilots from around eve come to celebrate with Role Play experiencing the richness of Amarr Culture while dining, drinking, and listening to music put on by the Ves-Udor Philharmonic Orchestra. Security remained tight as each individual was searched before entering the celebration. However, once gaining access to the event there was multiple rooms in which pilots conversed over topics in eve.
What was very unique was the level of politeness and unity expressed by the pilots at the event. Some pilots were mortal enemies on the battlefields of eve online however, everyone coming together for the events festivities was truly a treat to behold.
One of the speakers of the festivities was Ascentior. Which announced that PIE was both honored and humbled by the recent announcement that PIE has become a chapter in the Order of the Sacred Throne. Some PIE pilots mentioned that while such honors were given to them by their beloved Empress it also means even greater responsibility to the Empress and Empire.
One of the new titles given by the Empress was the Title of Chapter Master. Which upon deliberation and keeping to the tradition of collaborative leadership Ascentior announced that there would be two Co-Chapter Masters. These newly named Chapter Masters are Lord Admiral Shaikar Kazari and Lord Admiral Gaven Lok’ri. While this was truly the highlight of the evening the last of the formal event was the promotion of one of PIEs pilots to Captain. After 5 years of faithful service Arsia Elkin was promoted for her tireless service for PIE and Empire.
(Authors Note, This was the first time ever being at a Role Play event in Eve Online for myself. It was highly addictive and immensely fun. I highly encourage other pilots to try it at least once to experience it!)
The Cardinal Continued in his speech to mention another long and faithful ally of the Amarr Empire.
“Her Most Sublime the Imperial Majesty Catiz I, in recognition of 14 years of service to Holy Amarr in the Imperial Marches of Providence, is pleased to order that the Curatores Veritatis Alliance be accorded the status of Paladin Wardens of the Providence Marches. The style of Paladin Warden of Providence may be used by capsuleers of the Curatores Veritatis. The rank of Imperial Margrave is accorded to whosoever shall hold paramount leadership of the Curatores Veritatis, presently the Margrave Equinox Daedalus of the Providence Marches. So ordered in the Privy Council of Her Imperial Majesty Catiz I.”
With this action the Empress and the Empire finally recognized officially their right of ownership of Providence. The Providence Marches is rightly termed as the Marches historically means the borderlands. A place of the frontier. The Title of Margrave is exceptionally fitting as the Margrave was a title during medieval times of a military commander put in charge to maintain and defend a borderland province. The term of Warden is also appropriate as Wardens are persons charged with the care of or custody of persons, animals, or things; keeper. The Paladin Wardens of Providence are the keepers of the Borderlands.
With this declaration pilots across Provi-Bloc were exulted. They have had a very brutal year of constant war. A war in which Pandemic Legion and their coalition invaded and controlled at their highest peak half of providence. The destruction on both sides have been in the trillions of isk. Currently the Paladin Wardens of Providence have recovered all but 8 systems. These entrenched systems are areas of constant warfare in which both sides commit to combat operations daily.
CCP had used Providence wittingly or not as a content driver for Eve online over the conquerable stations becoming faction citadels. I reached out to CCP before the Coronation event earlier in the year. I had asked what of the Empress and the Empire? Have they no comment at all about the sacrifice of the residence of Providence? These people which have been brutalized by the greed of other groups in the game in which many have lost ships, citadels, friends, and livelihoods in Providence. The reason in which Provi-Bloc has always survived is because we are loyalists to the Amarr Empire. We fight for Providence not for greed, fame, but that of the Empress and Empire. I was astounded by the reply.
CCP Grendal the senior manager of communications stated that “The first CVA outpost in Providence is among the few player-built outposts that are being memorialized in game, the others having been conquerable NPC stations in origin. It’s something the Amarr Empire might well note. We will look at putting some appropriate lore out – whether in-game, world news or both. Additionally, later this year the coronation jubilee of Empress Catiz I may be an opportunity to note the efforts of Amarr loyalists across New Eden.”
I believe this is the conversation that may have triggered CCP to announce the titles and recognition that many of these pilots have fought for. Some of them for over 15 years of faithful service. The events of the coronation has been a rallying cry for those of Provi-Bloc. They hold their heads high in their duties. Many have started returning to serve once again in Provi-Bloc. For now good reader I leave you with this. In the military there is a saying. “For those who have fought for it. Freedom has a taste the protected will never know.” Well for those who have fought for Provi and for PIE. These titles have a special meaning and place in their hearts that those who have never fought for it will never know.
Amarr Victor, Ave Providence,
