Molden Heath: DropBear Sanctuary and Iron Armada Clash with FETID in Altbrard

March 3, 2016

Altbrard system, Molden Heath region. On the 1st of March at 12:40 EVE Standard Time, DropBear Sanctuary [DROP] and Iron Armada [FLEEP] forces clashed with FETID [FETID] over a tower in the system.

The two sides have been fighting over the moons of the region ever since FETID moved into Molden Heath after seceding from the war between Did he say Jump [JMP-N] and Dead Terrorists [IKILU] in and around the Heimatar region. FETID forces reinforced the tower belonging to Iron Armada and the two sides geared up for another confrontation.

Both sides chose to go with a capital heavy fleet, Iron Armada and DropBear Sanctuary assembling a joint fleet of 30 armor battleships and capitals. The fleet settled on the reinforced tower and deployed cynosural inhibitors on the grid to prevent FETID from bridging on top of it.

FETID had a similar fleet of 35 pilots with armor battleships and capitals, though the number of dreadnoughts it possessed was greater than that of the allied fleet and most of its battleships were in fact, Bhaalgorns which possess a fearsome energy neutralizing ability.

With the cynosural inhibitors online, FETID was forced to lit a cynosural beacon at a perch, bringing in only a 4 capitals at first. The allied fleet quickly warped on top of the capitals, intending to tackle them when the rest of the FETID fleet bridged in and the two sides opened fire, starting the battle.

The fight was a close range brawl as the two battleship fleets with their capitals clashed at point blank range. However, with the heavy neutralizing capability of the FETID fleet and its more dreadnought heavy setup, the allied fleet was unable to break the tank of the enemy battleships. Whats more, one of the FETID triage carriers acted as bait, drawing fire but not entering its triage cycle, thus easily tanking the incoming damage thanks to the remote repair abilities of its sister carriers.

After a few probing shots, the FETID fleet started breaking the allied fleet’s battleships, managing to annihilate them as well as their capitals thanks in part to the heavy energy neutralizers shutting down triage carriers and dreadnoughts’ guns. Whats more, FETID deployed a second wave of dreadnoughts during the fight, which altogether overwhelmed the defenders. Unable to hold and losing ships rapidly, the allied fleet could do nothing but withdraw.

With the allied fleet defeated, the FETID force warped to the tower itself, catching one of the triage carriers which attempted to repair the tower during the fight and dispatching it before destroying the tower itself, claiming the moon.

With this, FETID forces managed to win both the field and the objective, thus safely extracting and putting an end to the fighting.
