1QZ-Y9 system, Scalding Pass region. On the 30th of October at 17:00 EVE Standard Time, Northern Coalition. [NC] forces suffered a crushing defeat by Red Menace Coalition (RMC) forces in the system.
The battle began when Phoebe Freeport Republic [PFR] reinforced a tower belonging to Advent of Fate [CORD] in the system. Phoebe Freeport Republic formed a 20 pilot fleet of Battleships and Carriers to destroy the tower while having RMC forces ready to bridge in on a titan on reserve. At the time RMC had a 50 pilot Typhoon Battleship fleet assembled.
Advent of Fate also scouted the RMC force and realized it was unable to match it. Thus, it chose to form a small Ishtar Heavy Assault Cruiser gang of 12 pilots to harass Phoebe Freeport Republic forces as they slowly removed the tower. At the same time, intelligence both of the Phoebe Freeport Republic fleet and the gathered RMC force was received by Northern Coalition. Fleet Commanders. They decided to form a quick fleet, mustering 50 pilots in Proteus Strategic Cruisers and rushed over to the system.
Advent of Fate was the first to spot the fleet as it was 7 jumps away from the system. Communication was quickly established between the two groups and they agreed to collaborate. Once Northern Coalition. forces were near the system, Advent of Fate sacrificed its last Interdictors to hold down the Phoebe Freeport Republic fleet, letting Northern Coalition. forces to warp in on the force. Once on grid, the Northern Coalition. fleet started engaging the Phoebe Freeport Republic fleet while getting on top of it.
At this point, one of the Phoebe Freeport Republic Carriers lit a cynosural beacon and into the grid jumped the RMC fleet. However instead of the 50 pilot fleet both Northern Coalition. and Advent of Fate were expecting, a 100 pilot fleet landed on top of the Northern Coalition. ships. Apparently both Advent of Fate scouts and Northern Coalition. sources had neglected to relay information about the growing fleet size of the RMC, leading the Northern Coalition. fleet to be outgunned and outnumbered.
Quickly, the RMC fleet started engaging the Northern Coalition. ships, who could do little to resist the overwhelming damage of the Typhoons. Advent of Fate supplied the Northern Coalition. force with the password for the tower, allowing its remaining ships to reach relative safety. Yet, the tower itself was out of reinforced mode and quickly torn apart by the combined fire power of the RMC and Phoebe Freeport Republic forces. Thus, an attempt to burn in the opposite direction of the RMC Typhoons was made in order to get out of the system.
As the Northern Coalition. forces left the relative safety of the tower’s shields, they were once more set upon by the RMC Typhoons, who used their MicroJumpDrives in order to leap on top of the Northern Coalition. fleet. What followed was nothing short of a massacre as many fleet members got caught and destroyed by the RMC Typhoons.
With Northern Coalition. forces routed, the Advent of Fate fleet had no choice but to retreat as well, allowing RMC and Phoebe Freeport Republic to destroy the tower and secure the moon for themselves before safely extracting, ending hostilities in the system.

All told the battle lasted 60 minutes with local estimated at 200 pilots at the peak of the fighting and Time Dilation not reported by combatants.
Advent of Fate lost 10 ships in the engagement, mainly tackle for 637 mil ISK of damage. Northern Coalition. lost more than half of its fleet, 26 ships including 20 Strategic Cruisers for a total of 15.95 Bil ISK. RMC and its allies lost 29 ships, mainly tackle and support including 1 Battleship for 1.24 Bil ISK damage.
