F2OY-X system, Querious region. On the 28th of October at 19:00 EVE Standard Time, a League of Unaligned Master Pilots [LUMPY] Avatar Titan was destroyed in the system thanks to a collaboration between DARKNESS. [DARK.] and Pandemic Legion [-10.0].
The chain of events that led to the Titan’s demise started with a 70 pilot Ferox Battlecruiser fleet led by The force entered the F2OY-X system and warped in range of a League of Unaligned Master Pilots tower in an attempt to provoke a fight. League of Unaligned Master Pilots decided to oblige it and prepared a Gila Cruiser fleet. The force sat on the Titan ready to bridge into the system. However when the cynosural beacon was lit on grid, instead of the Gila fleet jumping in, the Titan did by mistake.
DARKNESS. forces did not waste a moment and quickly had the Titan tackled, deploying interdiction probes and frantically attempting to make contact with Pandemic Legion, who lives in range of the system. Contact was established and a Pandemic Legion fleet happened to be assembling at the time. The fleet made a quick call for more pilots to re-ship to Interdictors and Heavy Interdictors while its members gathered on a Titan, ready to be bridged in.
A cynosural beacon was quickly lit on grid but was mistakenly destroyed by DARKNESS. forces, causing the Interdictors and Heavy Interdictors that bridged ahead of the main fleet to scatter around the system. After a bit of coordinating between both forces, a second cynosural beacon was lit on the tackled Titan, ushering in the Pandemic Legion’s Proteus Strategic Cruiser fleet.
Pandemic Legion’s Super Capitals Jumping on top of the Tackled Titan
Once the fleet had made certain the Titan was properly tackled and no serious danger was present, Pandemic Legion brought in a small Super Capital force in order to make short work of the Titan. To its credit, the Titan managed to tank two Doomsday weapons before the Supercarriers present chewed off its remaining armor with their swarm of drones, destroying it.
With the Titan destroyed, a quick skirmish with League of Unaligned Master Pilots rescue fleet developed, both it and the Pandemic Legion force exchanging losses before the League of Unaligned Master Pilots fleet was forced to retreat.
Once the grid was secured, both DARKNESS. and Pandemic Legion safely extracted from the system, bringing an end to hostilities.
