What appear to be eight new frigates have been found in a preview build of the EVE Online Public test server, known as Chaos. Posted here The new frigates include four new faction ships and two named and two unnamed ships – at this point it is unknown whether the latter are T1, T2 or faction ships.
The four new faction ships are navy faction variants of each race’s tech one electronic warfare frigate (Crucifer, Griffin, Maulus and Vigil.) The bonuses of the ships aren’t listed, however.
Also listed are four new logistics frigates of which two are named and two are not. The named ones are the Deacon (Amarr) and Ohiki (Caldari.) The Minmatar and Gallente ones have placeholder names, Gallente Rep Rep Good Good (yeah) and Minmatar Shield Shield Zap Zap respectively. The names of the Amarr and Caldari ships seem to point to their role perhaps being Tech 2 Logi frigates, with the Ohiki being a variant of the Bantam, which is a breed of Japanese chicken and the name of the Caldari tech one Logi Frigate. Although it is not a lot evidence on which to base a conclusion, it seems to fit the bill. Considering there are no T2 logi frigs in the game and the name of one being a breed of one of the other ships in the game, the logic kind of makes sense.
Included in the same post are the new ice mining lasers which will go with the new ice mining version of the Venture that was recently announced. The ice mining laser will come in T1, T2 and ORE (faction) variations, with no indications of other meta versions.
Speaking of new turrets, also included are (presumably) the placeholders for the incoming Tech 2 XL weapons – yeah by the way we are getting Tech 2 dread guns soon. With names like Capital Grumpy Cat Launcher ABLE and Capital Keyboard Cat Launcher CHARLIE, I highly doubt these are the final names.
