CSM: New CSM News Portal Released

September 7, 2015

The Council of Stellar Management (CSM), a consumer based focus group elected to represent player interests to Crowd Control Productions (CCP) are a key part of CCP’s development process for EVE online. The CSM are under agreement to follow a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) which allows CCP to introduce new features and ideas to them for discussion and feedback before they become public knowledge.

One of the CSM’s jobs is to contact the community and provide feedback on new features and changes which are in the early stages of development, but keeping track of what the CSM does can be a time consuming activity. The CSM communicates across a broad spectrum of mediums including the Eve Forums, Reddit, Personal Blogs, Podcasts and any variation of. While there have been a number of attempts by collective CSM members and external parties to collate the news, all with some degrees of varying success.

This is something that CCP Leeloo has addressed in here forum post here:

Hi everyone, it’s me again!

Today I wanted to share some of my happiness with you all Smile

Back when I was a player I always found it difficult to keep a track of all the things that CSM delegates are posting. Especially the important things! So this was one of the changes I really wanted to implement since I started working with the project.

After looking at various formats and designs, I’ve decided to go with the one that is already familiar to EVE players –now.eveonline.com

But instead of posting some SIKRITS on the CSM one, I am gathering all of the posts (that I can find Roll ) from CSM delegates, this includes blogs, twitter, forums feed, youtube and reddit, then I hand-pick the most relevant to the CSM things and publish a link to it to our new and shiny portal.

It’s up and available to everyone at csm.eveonline.com you can also find a link to it through the Community portal by clicking CSM News:

Since my definition of relevance can vary from that of yours, here is a link with all of the info available regarding CSMX’s posting habits that you can review at your own pace Smile

Please feel free to leave your suggestions regarding the portal in this thread. You can also throw ideas and bug reports at me via twitter, email ([email protected]) or though the in-game mail.
