So it’s that time of the week where I have spent hours upon hours of trawling through YouTube to bring you the BEST (well, in my opinion anyway) videos that the Eve Community has to offer. So here we go!
#1 Arek’Jaalan Site One: Unknown Entry Event
Sup General, aka Super General aka General StarGazer is one of the more well known lore hounds of the Eve Online Community and was among the first people to explore all the drifter wormholes. During his time he imagined, what would the drifters say to us? But more importantly, as it was revealed in the Drifter Autopsy released a few weeks back, as they don’t have vocal cords, how would they say anything to us? This could be one way, using our own broadcasts against us…
#2 Fleet Support: Vindicator
Vindicators are one of those ships that often gets overlooked in fleet support roles in favour for more traditional support ships in the form of force recons and tech 3 ships. In this video, Tridgit of the Iron Armada demonstrates how the Vindicator can be used as a support vessel for Battleship / Triage fleets as well as giving useful advice that any fleet support pilot could use.
#3 EVE Online PvP – Progression XXVII
Mifter is a new(ish) video maker, with some 29 videos released over the last year, and from this clip where he takes the new(ish) Jackdaw for a spin in a series of fights, often against odds that most people would think were impossible. If this video is anything to go by, the other 28 are well worth a look as well.
#4 Eve Online Low Sec Faction Warfare PVP
Low-sec is definitely heating up between the faction warfare groups, but it’s rare for large battles to occur. In this fight between the Galente Militia Vs the Caldari Militia and eventually interrupted by a number of groups who come to third party. This video is filmed from the point of view of the Gallente Militia. What’s interesting about this video is the honesty of it, you hear the coms, warts and all as the fight goes on. A good indication of what is involved in the Medium sized battles.
#5 Hydrostatic Podcast – Drifter Incursion Lore Panel
You may, or may not, know of the Hydrostatic Podcast, and if you do, you probably didn’t know the regular lore panels they make are actually broadcasted live. Sadly, if you’re not in the US you’re probably asleep during this time, but fear not, not only do they release the lore panel on the podcast, but they also post it to their YouTube channel.
#6 Solo Myrm PvP compilation – a single pilot v.s. Null Sec
Submitted to me via Twitter this video is a compilation of Bram Ridder’s exploits while solo roaming in a Myrmidon in Nullsec during his twitch streams (his channel can be found here ) To be fair to Bram, I was sold after the first 30 seconds saying he was out to prove the ney sayers wrong and show that Battlecruisers are still viable in the right situations. Throw in some hints and tips commentary and you have a great video.
