Yesterday evening, GoonSwarm Federation [CONDI] lost an Aeon by the hands of Northern Coalition. [NC], Black Legion. [MEN] and 404 Alliance Not Found [U-WOT] in the system of Y-W6GF.
The Event started with [U-WOT] forming 2 Moros, 2 Archons and a Naglfar capital force to go and shoot a POS that was located at one of the Imperium’s (Formerly known as the CFC) Neodymium moons. They knew that [CONDI] would possibly escalate with supers and so [MEN.] and [NC] were informed.
[MEN.] formed a Tengu fleet and [NC] a Proteus fleet which they moved, with the help of a wormhole leading to Thera, which had a connection in the area close to Y-W6GF. They hid in the system with the help of a Mobile Scan Inhibitor, and waited. Everything was now ready and so the [U-WOT] bait fleet cyno’d onto the POS and started shooting it. Sure Enough, a [CONDI] cyno alt decloaked and the super capital fleet, consisting of four Nyx, a Wyvern, A dreadnought and a couple of carriers jumped in. The bait had worked and so [NC], [MEN.] and [U-WOT] commanded all dictors to jump into system.
The rest of the main fleets should have jumped to a cyno but, through a player’s mistake, 2 cynos were up in the same [NC] fleet, one of which was at a wrong location. [NC] jumped to this cyno and had to quickly warp over to the correct location. This however, bought the [CONDI] supers enough time to warp out. They had warped to a random moon and when they landed they realized that it was a [CONDI] owned POS. This was their only option to get safe and so all supers started to approach the POS. [NC] and [MEN.] followed the supers and had by now landed on grid as well. The [CONDI] supers were not in the POS yet and so NCDOT and BL started to go in for bumps.
Quoting Travis Musgrats: ”Were fucking horrible at bumping w/ ab prots” and so only the Aeon was left on field, slowly dying with all fleets calling him as their new primary. [COMDO] knew they were in trouble and pings went out for a Harpy fleet in an attempt to save the Aeon, however just as they got in system, the Aeon exploded. With the Aeon dead, the [NC], [MEN.] and [U-WOT] fleets quickly burned home.
