In a bizarre series of events, the CFC last night killed one of their own titans under the belief that the pilot was a spy for Black Legion. Let’s take a look at the events leading up and immediately following this strange situation.
It all started during one of the recent fights between the CFC and Black Legion. where the pilot in question, Rayonar, at the time on his main, Ivory Kantenu, called out that Cain Atticus needs reps as can be seen in this video. This sparked some confusion as Cain is a member of Black Legion. while Rayonar is a long-serving member of Space Monkey Alliance, a member of the CFC. Once the fight was over, CFC leadership, who had taken notice of the weird outburst, began to dig.
At first, speculation was rampant within the ranks of the CFC that Ivory Kantenu was a Black Legion. spy alt. Titan spy alts may be rare as fedo teeth, but they do exist, so at the time this was simply rabble-chatter with juuuuuust a sprinkling of credence. Soon, however, the speculation was put to rest by The Mittani:
It’s not every day that we get a Titan spy with as much confirmatory intel and cross check – that’s because this one wasn’t a spy, a savvy agent, but a bitter nerd who was passed up for promotion in SMA’s leadership about two weeks ago, went to meet Elo at a local Edmonton nerd meet, and promptly flipped sides – thus the babby spy mistakes like keying up on the wrong comms and shouting ‘guys guys reps on Cain’ moments after Laz had primaried Cain.
Our man Cain, primaried and then rushed to rep because Rayonar had just heard Laz make that call: https://zkillboard.com/kill/42640645/[1] (bitch died anyway) When he flipped: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=272580&p=12[2] One smoking gun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzgqhYfdkQ4[3]
He admitted, of course, that he had just ‘mistakenly called for reps on cain’ because ~reasons~. I expect BL to do what PL and TEST did after we caught Manny’s Levi in the Fountain war – vehemently deny that it was an agent, ‘lol cfc killed their own titan’, etc etc – they can’t simply admit that he fucked up and got burned.
Extra props to Kilgarth for convincing the traitor to light the cyno which brought in his own firing squad. It doesn’t get much cleaner than this~

Game changing evidence? Well you tell me…
The Mittani stated that Ivory was an unhappy member of SMA who met up with Elo at an Eve gathering and decided become a turncoat and spy on the CFC on behalf of BL. This statement has at least one fatal flaw, however; the meetup to which The Mittani referred had not yet taken place. The question of why, if he was a CFC member who turned to spy for BL., would he call for reps for the BL. fleet remains unanswered. The chances that he was dualboxing logi in both fleets seem to be very unlikely, though not unprecedented.
As for the pilot himself, he took to reddit and had this to say:
Downvote all you want, here’s my official response to this. It was a complete accident, and the entire thing was a huge mistake. Also, Screenshot just to prove it’s me, and not the other random troll in the thread. http://i.imgur.com/Ftzlxno.jpg
*(10:03:47 PM) MonkeyBot: Before it get’s all twisted, because yellow journalism is the best journalism, here’s my side of the story.
On the K3J Station fight, I was there on Ivory, repping in my Scimitar. When the fight started to get heavy, I by accident locked the BL Tengu that was called out, and saw that he was in low shield. Reaction kicked in, and I called on open comms for Scimis to rep because he was about to die. I did not notice until the fight had settled down that it was, in fact, a BL Tengu. A mistake that I admitted over command comms, and even had a laugh about.
So there, go ahead and call me a spy or whatever you want. It was an honest mistake, and I’m hoping this gets resolved fast. I’m not a fucking spy, you guys can all chill out and wait for the dust to settle. It will all be ok.

Edit: Seems I have now been CFC Blacklisted. God damn shame. The amount of time and love I put into SMA was beyond what I ever thought feasible. I did love flying with the CFC, but I guess this is how it ends. The accounts are being unsubbed, and I am not interested in EVE anymore. I put too much care into one place to simply lift up and go to another.
Do I feel like I was treated fairly? Yes, and no. My Alliance Diplomatic Department stood behind me until the final decision was made. They were all great people, and I trusted their word tried and true, but in the end, politics won the day.
EVE has already been removed from my PC, I will not be returning. Maybe you’ll see me in Elite: Dangerous when it comes out.
Hope you all enjoyed the Drama, Fireworks, and the KM. It was amazing reaching my end goal in EVE (owning a Titan), so I can at least end on multiple high points, instead of one.
Fly dangerous, space nerds.
At the end of the day the CFC are minus 1 titan, his pilot and his main. Whether or not this was a case of a long-term pilot (approximately 4 years) turned bittervet who decided to become a spy, or just a guy who locked the wrong broadcast in his broadcast window and instinctively yelled for reps, we may never truly know. It’s a shame that he will be leaving Eve and that he lost the ship for which he worked so hard. 4 years of commitment to his alliance is no small thing.
There seems to be a lot of humor coming out of the from the Black Legion. camp over the incident. What did BL. lose at the end of the day? Well, nothing. Either this was a mistake and the CFC killed their own titan or this was a case of a very bad new spy who decided it would be worth the risk of burning himself to save a surreptitiously-blue Tengu. Why he would be flying logi in both fleets is beyond me, if the latter is the truth of the matter.
