On the way back from a Saturday morning op to stop Goons from shooting some random structures and replacing Sovereignty Blockade Units, a Nulli Secunda fleet led by Me ofcourse ran into a rather profitable distraction. After jumping into the system of LQ-AHE in Omist a lone Drop The Hammer Machariel piloted by T Ross was spotted sitting on the gate. Before the Machariel was pointed it warped off grid somewhere into system. Me ofcourse immediately dropped probes and scanned down the runaway who happened to be sitting at a Drop the Hammer tower with 2 unpiloted Archons hanging around inside the shields.
After arriving at the tower the Nulli Secunda fleet decided they had nothing better to do and began shooting the tower belonging to Winds Of Neptune, a corporation in Drop The Hammer’s alliance which is an English pet alliance of the Stain-based Russians. At some point during the quick tower bash the Machariel pilot T Ross switched his ship out for a Chimera in the ship maintenance array and safe logged out. Much to the delight of the S2N fleet the POS was not stronted and soon went into armor allowing the fleet to kill the tower in one setting and steal the carriers left unattended within its shields. Upon killing the ship maintenance array the S2N fleet was left with yet another pleasant surprise. The Machariel, valued at just under 2 billion isk on evepraisal, dropped, giving Nulli Secunda a total haul of roughly 4 billion isk including the 2 empty Archons and other various Tech 2 ships that dropped from the ship maintenance array. Not a bad haul for what began as a distraction from what was, until then, a rather uneventful fleet!
