Recently, a very expensive Viator died in Jita. The kill, which can be found here, shows the Viator pilot killed by two Tornados. The Viator was killed as when he landed off the Jita 4-4 station, he was out of docking range and the Tornados were able to pop him and his pod. This task becomes even more difficult if the Viator is fit with Nanofiber Internal Structures or Inertia Stabs which this particular Viator wasn’t.
The cargo this Viator was carrying leads us to believe that it was likely one mans drone lands goo for a year or one corporations for a month. The loot in question is mainly filled with parts required to build drones and rigs. Oddly enough, alot of these parts come from salvage that we all know is not lacking on the 4-4 Jita undock. Of course, one can only wonder that after years upon years of untanked, shiny haulers being ganked why people still do it. This is certainly a question as difficult as pondering the purpose of life and is one that the New Order and CODE wonder endlessly. The killers are happy to have gotten such a shiny kill, given Blockade Runners are immune to Cargo Scanners and this gank was a shot in the dark. When I contacted the gankers they had this to say:
This Viator was bringing this load into the Jita Dock from the Perimeter Gate Cluster and just happened to not land close enough to Jita 4-4 to immediately dock up prior to the tornadoes locking/killing him and his pod. This was, also, a war-target at the time of the kill. This is, however, not to say that he would not have gotten killed anyways as we were playing cloaky hauler roullette at the time anyways. Near as I can tell, this haul was the entire corporations haul for the last month (or two) or this was this characters personal haul for the last year or more. I didn’t even believe it when the pilot who scooped the loot and got the killmail said that it was huge until after I saw the killmail. 🙂
. Space Warriors Alliance basically owns jita, very few people can do anything to stop us. We’ve won wars against all other merc alliances who operate in the area, including marmite and dark union.
Though you may have been able to make out that I am also a ganker. I’ve been a pirate for a very long time, since probably 2010ish and have run a gank crew out of the amarr-jita trade route for over 2 years now. In anycase, my crew/alliance/corp is also behind many large freighter ganks you guys often cover such as the Moth Orchid, Kill: Moth orchid (Charon) ,gank a month or two ago. Also this one a few days ago, Kill: Joshi Karoshi (Charon) which you didnt.
Long story short. Vengance Inc. and Space Warriors Alliance control jita, and will continue to, and with our new found mercenary status will do this to anyone we find worthy of a wardec.
