A short time ago a Nyx piloted by Astrid Stone was taken down in Ignoitton. A look at the killmail shows 21 Fighter Bombers in his drone bay. Post patch, due to volume changes, only 17 fighter bombs can fit in a nyx.
Did he log in and suddenly find he could not warp or jump? There was ample warning prior to the patch. Personal mails were sent out by CCP informing all Super Pilots of the upcoming changes and it was also posted on the Dev Blogs:
It is important for current Supercarrier pilots to be prepared for the change in Fighter Bomber volume. Any Supercarrier drone bay that is full of Fighter Bombers before the patch will be overloaded after downtime. In this case the drones will automatically move to the Supercarrier’s cargo bay where they will prevent the ship from warping or jumping until they have been jettisoned or otherwise removed.
To rub salt in the wound. Freight Club pilot Emizeko Chai got the highest damage and last kill in a ‘battle’ Miasmos Quafe Ultra Edition. One thinks he may have changed ships just to make this epic killmail.
