Months of Damning AAA Logs Leaked

April 27, 2014

Tonight, months and thousands of lines worth of logs from Against ALL Authorities going as far back as February 3rd were posted to Reddit. The logs, which are taken over the course of “The Halloween War” and after are originally from AAA’s CEO/Director and Fleet Commander Skype channels. You can see for yourself the turmoil shown from within the alliance.

I was able to get in touch with Levarris Hawk, the person responsible for the leaked logs for an interview to find out what lead him to put everything he did out into the open. Here is what he had to say.

Peach Tea: Can you tell me what made you decide to do this?

Levarris Hawk: Well, as I told Shadowandlight himself when he asked. I have nothing personal against anyone in -A-. Mostly I did it “for the lulz.” Though, I do believe that -A- is these days an entity so rife with problems, that it needs to either be let to rest, or to completely reinvent itself. The logs I leaked clearly demonstrate how its leadership is so diametrically opposed to each other in opinions on direction, and a variety of other things. Leadership are constantly bickering with each other over pretty petty things. They wonder why corps have left them over the past months, and the leadership in those corps wonder why their members left in droves. They wondered why participation in fleets kept dropping. I believe that success trickles from the top down, and you can’t have a successful alliance that consists of people who clearly hate each other.

Peach Tea: What particular part of those logs really stands out to you, and why?

Levarris Hawk: Honestly, I feel the worst of it was the petty bickering between Bufffresh and Xbox360Clock in the FC chat log. It was a childish clash of egos that was counter productive. It wasn’t just between the two of them mind you, but I think those two sparked the most tension in that channel over anyone else.

Peach Tea: What was the final straw for you?

Levarris Hawk: Well, I am a person who takes my loyalties seriously. I served in Blackwater Swat as a line member, and eventually as a Director. I felt it was my job to ensure that even despite many of my corp mates were leaving for greener pastures that I ensure that the people who refused to go at least have some semblance of a future. That came in the form of a merger with Black Aces. Once that merger was completed, I felt that my obligations were freed and I could personally look for a better home. In all honesty, I wanted to leave months earlier, but I felt duty bound in a way to stick it out and do what needed to be done for my corp.

Peach Tea: That’s understandable and a good quality to have in EVE. What happened within -A- after the merger, and how did you feel about it?

Levarris Hawk: Well, -A-‘s deployment / retreat to Curse did not go as planned. Barely 10 people were seen in the chosen staging system at any given time. Fleet participation was non-existent, and competent FC’s willing to lead fleets were simply not logging in out of the fact they could barely pull a dozen or more people into a fleet. Eventually Lahari decided to pull the alliance to LGK-VP in Stain, from there. Not much worth of note happened that made me want to log in at all. I found my interest in EVE at an all time low and came to the hard decision. Leave -A- or quit EVE. I think I made the right choice.

Peach Tea: What in your opinion do you feel -A- should do now?

Levarris Hawk: To put it bluntly, in my opinion they need to forget everything they were because it is everything they are never going to be again. They need new direction, and better leadership at the highest levels. I do not believe that Lahari is the leader that alliance needs. Who is? I don’t know. I don’t want to see -A- simply fade away, it’s been in EVE for so long that its hard to imagine EVE without it as an entity. Whether you like them or not, respect them or not. Without them EVE wouldn’t be the same.

Peach Tea: How did you decide to join Northern Coalition(Dot), and what kind of future do you hope to have with them?

Levarris Hawk: Many of my corp mates from -BS.- joined Nex Exercitus, choosing to follow my friends was an easy one. As far as a future? I aspire only to blow up internet spaceships and harvest tears from those who are unfortunate enough to not be blue to me.

Peach Tea: Final question. Is there anything you have to say directly to the leadership of -A-?

Levarris Hawk: Personally, I hope that they can steer -A- into better waters. Right now though they are surrounded by Icebergs and it is going to take some very careful navigation to prevent the alliance from sinking like the Titanic. They are barely afloat now, but they can get on the right track if they get their heads out of their asses.

Only time will tell what will happen to -A- as they currently retreat to Stain to regroup. Will they come back as before, or will they slowly fade into the darkness of Eve? Nobody can say for sure now that the once proud army of capsuleers has been abandoned by their allies. Hopefully they bounce back and become the alliance they’ve always wanted to be…. next year? We’ll see, if they last.
