Slowly Slowly Catchy Monkey.

April 13, 2014

It’s three months back and ILBE BUG is going through his usual high-sec cargo scanning routine looking for something worthy of a gank. A navy issue raven un-docks with just a single officer module fitted, worth 1.4 billion, tempting, but ILBE BUG is curious, so he follows. The raven pilot moves to another station and docks, emerging shortly after in a Leopard. Not such unusual behavior one might think, but ILBE BUG knows his game, and where there is one officer mod, more are likely to follow. So like any good hunter, he sets himself up for the long game, quietly watching and waiting…

He stalks his prey for three long months as Arthur Aihaken carefully constructs his 12 billion isk masterpiece of purple splendor. The waiting finally culminates on the morning of the 9th April as Arthur Aihaken lands on grid at an outgoing gate within the Muvolailen system. The very same outgoing gate that ILBE BUG and friends happen to be waiting at. The trap is sprung and the painful wait is over as 6 billion isk of officer mods drop from the twisted wreck of the once resplendent navy issue raven.

ILBE BUG was very pleased with his kill and more so that his many months of waiting proved fruitful. He has commented saying “billions worth of modules dropped, but the low trading volume means that it would take quite a time to flip over”.

Despite the butthurt that he must be feeling, Arthur Aihaken has put a brave face on it all and noted that “Sometimes you get the bear – and sometimes the bear gets you. Mostly the bear gets you. :D”

A final note, or perhaps lesson, worth sharing here can be found by a slightly more careful review of Arthur’s cargo hold. Forth from the bottom, ‘special delivery’. In the words of ILBE BUG “suggesting that he was doing some courier missions, which could be completed with a mere shuttle instead”. Worth remembering to use the right tool for the right job maybe?
