Hidden deep in a relatively long forum post on the official forums CCP Developer, CCP Affinity has confirmed that the not so popular loot spew mechanic will be removed from hacking sites.
For those of you who don’t know, loot spew is a mechanic used in exploration, upon successful completion of the hacking mini-game, the hacking site would fire out a large amount of loot cans which the explorer would then have to spam click and pull towards them nearly always leaving some cans to float off into the abyss. Some of the cans would contain valuable loot, others would contain junk and the idea behind it was to encourage group exploration and make hacking more active however it was not well received.
But hackers rejoice (or flame) because its being removed.
