Some Ship Changes
CCP decided to finally swat at the OP drone assist mechanic after they buffed it by adding drone bunnies from your watch-list. If you’ve been living under a rock, drone assist will be limited to 50 assigned drones with the intention of making it still a viable mechanic in smaller gangs and when assigned light drones to an interceptor, etc. When this all finally gets implemented, we’re going to be dropping the Dominix and replacing it with the Maelstrom as our main battleship doctrine. #BigSurprise
Prophecy fleet is going bye-bye. We used it just long enough to realize how awful it was to move around. It might have a bazillion EHP and cost 60mil but it is one slow mother fucker.
Ishtar fleet is sticking around for small-gang, nano stuff. We’ll need to change the way we do drone assign, but on a 1-Wing model, it’s not hard to be effective.
A Word on the Big Shiny
We’re moving away from Shield Supercarriers and asking people to replace them with Aeons/Nyx(s?). We’re doing this for a whole variety of reasons, but we want to be able to support ourselves while we’re out and about on our own. The token Hel/Wyvern in our fleet won’t survive very long without reps from the non-existent shield supers in our fleet. This goes a long way in cutting complicated fleet bonuses and a whole host of other issues while running mixed armor/shield fleets. This applies to Supercarriers only. If you are training for a super, begin training for an Aeon or Nyx. For the time being, SRP will remain for Shield Supercarriers, but over the next 4-6 months we will phase it out completely.
Junior FC Program
For nearly 7 months now, the Jr FC Program has sat idle as a rarely-used, directionless sub-forum with no real point in existence. After months of walking in the desert, I have given this program over to Nightmarcher and Kitty O’Shay from TGRAD. These guys are some of the best teachers/instructors/mentors-for-our-aspiring-FC-bros in this alliance and I can’t wait to see where they take the program. They will be posting a big introduction post later on this week to outline how to get involved or join this program, but the basics boil down to giving more alliance members opportunity to step up and learn to FC in a non-scary environment. We’re bringing in Crows, Harpies and Vexor (or Ruptures) as part of this program to give these guys the chance to learn on cheap, effective doctrines that don’t break the bank when we get wtf-rofl-lol-pipe-bombed.
Scouts
Sadler, Hulio Haklar, jaon43 and Tuscarorah have done an outstanding job building up our scout group from a rarely-used channel to one of the best scout groups in this whole damn game. We have plenty of room to improve, but we have more regular, active scouts in hostile staging systems than all the rest of the CFC combined. Give yourselves a pat on the back if this success applies to you! If you want to be a part of this awesome program and learn the way of the ninja-cloaky-scout-with-cyno, give these guys a poke and sign on!
Deployment
We’re moving at the beginning of next week. The war is essentially over as much as the CFC is needed down in the south-East. Our FCs/Leadership know where we are going, but we’re keeping all the details under tight wraps until the actual move. We will continue to rack up structure killmails and run around with supers/dreads in an effort clean stuff up. I will be making an official announcement on our deployment on Saturday/Sunday timeframe.
CFC Doctrines
tldr BALTECFLEET RIDES AGAIN (PLUS DELVE-STYLE APOCS BOOYAH)… I’ll be posting specific doctrines and we’ll be seeding these contracts but we won’t be running these on our own. We’ll be running Maelstroms, Muninns, Zealots, Ishtars and Oracles as our main fleet doctrines.
B-R Constellation
We’re keeping this constellation as our “reward” for the Halloween War. We haven’t made this known to you guys officially as of yet, but I wanted to make sure it was clear. Great job, guys!
