Stainwagon/CFC v. N3 New Year shenanigans

January 1, 2014

The N3 and Stainwagon/CFC enjoyed a series of fierce brawls around the Stainwagon station system in evening hours of December 31st with Stainwagon achieving their ultimate objectives despite heavy losses. (Though it should be noted that N3 suffered equal losses in the quick series of battles fought)

Alphastarpilot of -A- recounts the event:
So I get a poke saying I need to form a fleet to go cover an ihub deployment, so I start forming -A- and friends in Tengus. As we are forming I notice a 50 man PL Sentry Proteus fleet and about 80 N3 inties on the undock. I poked -DD- and they decided to help us, we got about 120 in fleet in about 10 minutes. We then undocked our Railgus into PL and the Inties. As we fight RAZOR bridge in right next to PL’s reinforcement cyno with a 100 man Shield Ishtar fleet, and kill the reinforcements 300km above the station. We kill a couple of T3s and logi and exchange some random non doctrine crap, we also kill a small amount of inties. PL and N3 both go hide in safespots, and I then prepare to escort the freigher.

We get the freighter to ZXIC as NCdot bridges in a pretty big Tempest Fleet Issue fleet into F4. We then jump into NCdot, who were 50km off the gate. As we start to fight they bring in 3 triage archons and PL warps back in and brings in their own triage. I start focusing my fleet on TFIs and Razor did aswell. We killed a few TFIs and some more Tech 3s from PL/NCDOT until I decided to perch us above the gate, we lossed a few tengus/logies. At our perch the N3 inty fleet landed @ 0 on us and just died. They lossed 15-20 inties and warped away the rest. Then PL/NCdot warp onto our perch and we fight again. We kill a few more logies/TFIs/Tech 3s, while losing some more Tengus and logies. I decide to warp us out as RZR left the field to regroup on station, and so did we. @ Station we gained about 50 more dudes (totalling about 175 in fleet), everyone undocks and we prepare to go in. Then PL and NCdot warp to the 1P gate, and we follow them. We all jump into 1P at the same time and start brawling. PL/NCDOT bring in their triage as I start chewing through TFIs, and PL/NCDOT focus on the thinner RZR Ishtar fleet. For about 20-30 mins I bounced my tengu fleet around killing as many TFIs as possible and on occasion shooting PL, while losing an occasional Tengu who got caught in a bubble or some non-doctrine crapship. At this point about 100 CFC enter system in Harpyfleet, and 120 N3 in an Ishtar fleet also jump in. NCdot MJD’d away from my fleet for the 20th time and reposition on RZR, so do PL and N3. But the N3 Ishtar fleet burned directly into my Tengu fleet and the Harpyfleets’ optimal and we start chewing through Ishtars. After the Ishtars get out of Antimatter range we kill some Logi that were trailing their fleet.

At this point the RZR fleet is completely wiped out and the CFC harpyfleet is down to about 50 dudes. We all warp to the jamunda gate to regroup. At this point 175 CFC reinforcements in Domi’s come into system, and PL/NCdot/N3 begin to extract, leaving one triage archon tackled. We catch a few stragglers in 1P and surrounding systems as all hostile fleets go home, then we all get back on the F4 gate and kill the tackled Triage Archon. All in all, an amazing fight! RZR lost ~40 Ishtars and StainWagon lost ~20 Tengus, while PL lost around 10 Tech 3s, and 6 logi, NCdot lost ~30 Faction BS, some tech 3s and logi and a triage carrier, and N3 lost ~20 Ishtars and some logi, along with ~40 Inties, and CFC lose around 50 dudes in Harpies/Bursts. After the fight I took my Tengus and covered the IHUB placement, so strategic objective won too .

Good fun! See you next time!
Goodfights were exchanged in local and we can be certain this was a welcome reprieve for both sides from the wars seeming stalemate. N3 avoided the blobs they find unbeatable and the CFC/SW forces weren’t subjugated to the archon army they find insufferable.
